I'm not sure why you'd want to know, "Shamus"...

But for the record there isn't.

Mike, in case you're wondering where your comment with the phone number in has gone, we've deleted it just in case you start getting calls from weird people on the internet...

We don't know yet. We're supposed to be playing Parkfield but they might be playing in the cup instead. We probably won't find out till Friday.

It's not late because we've only just started discussing this stuff :-)

You have a point, but I'd be wary about trying to play people offside all the time at this level. It is a useful strategy but the referee isn't going to get it right all the time because it's so difficult without assistants. But we will definitely be working on this kind of stuff when we go back outdoors in a few weeks. I'm sure that will help us prepare more appropriately.

What we've seen in the last few games has given us a lot to think about. I know for certain now that I don't think we're playing football intelligently enough. Gerry puts his finger on it when he talks about assessing the opposition in the early part of the game. We don't defend or attack as a unit, and that's what provides the huge spaces in midfield through which we lose the ball a lot.

I've always said that football is simultaneously a really simple game and a really complex game. When it all works, it looks effortless and incredibly easy. But underneath all that is an intricate combination of skill, intelligence, timing, communication, teamwork and sometimes luck. It takes a lot of time and a lot of effort to get that right.

Yes, they were wonderful, weren't they. Well said. I've deleted them now though as they weren't exactly saying anything useful. Good riddance :-)

I think you've got a point, but, to be fair, the long ball can be very effective. For example, see Robbie Keane's goal against Arsenal yesterday.
