The liberal media's coverage of the Thomas confirmation hearings and the Democrats' mistreatment of Clarence Thomas caused me to leave the Democratic Party . I watched most of the hearings. The press coverage didn't correlate with what I had observed. I didn't want to remain in a party which apparently needed media lies in order to retain power.
