For those of you too shy to attend a meetup, please take some advice from the show we all love and "make some friends."

It won't hurt you to meet some new people, and you'll probably be glad you did. Remember, these are people that like the same things you do, and were probably also shy and nervous the first time too. They'll understand how you feel, and will be as welcoming as can be.

People who mispronounce DJ Pon-3 (read as: DJ Pony). It's neither how the Hub mistakenly pronounced it (DJ Pown-Three) or the new trend of (DJ Pown). The 3 is an E, like the 5 in Deadmau5 is an S. The hyphen denotes that the E is pronounced separately as in Kwik-E-Mart.

It's true that rape, molestation, and rape culture as a whole are all bad things that should go away forever, but just as Grand Theft Auto does not make people steal and kill others, the Ask Molestia blog does not make people commit such violent crimes. Rape is a subset of violence as a whole, and this county does have a problem with violence, but violent media does not have a conclusive link to violent crime.

GTA and Ask PM are both parodies and forms of entertainment targeted towards an adult audience; and adults (and children!) are supposed to know right from wrong years before ever seeing such content. GTA 5 just obtained over $1 billion in sales, but all those customers are not going to commit crimes. Adults who commit these violent crimes already had a pre-existing problem, and that should NOT have a negative impact on content creators who just want to tell a non-canon fictional story.

FiM itself is targeted towards families as a whole, and that will never change. What people associate with FiM beyond that is largely up to them on an individual basis. Adult content exists of Princess Peach, but most people would not associate Nintendo with that. People are able to disassociate fan content from official works, and fictional media from real life.

Drama will always exist, in a variety of forms, in almost every community... but it's almost exclusively the vocal minority.

The silent majority, lurkers and all, just want to have fun and we rely on strong pillars in the community to keep pushing forward. Pillars like the show writers, who do the best with what Hasbro commands them to do. Pillars like the EQD staff, who create a stable platform spreading interesting information.

We, as a community, are comprised of mostly adults, and should act as adults. When inevitable drama occurs, we should not engage it, and instead stick to the company of friends and support those that need help. That goes for ALL of you out there.

Season 4 will be awesome, but some people can never be happy. "Leaving" a fandom just lets those drama loving haters remain in power. This was once the fandom that beat 4chan, and we can certainly deal with a few internal conflicts and bickering children now.

I know you've already left Calpain, but if you return, you will still have sane, sensible people that will welcome you back.
