Wouldn't it have been fairer to benchmark Singapore Cabinet Ministers' salaries to their counterparts in corrupt-free, 1st world, developed countries like the US, Germany, UK and France instead of the top earners in Singapore ?? As it is, PM Lee Hsien Loong is paid 5 times the annual salary of President Barrak Obama, and even the most Junior Minister in the Singapore Government is paid more than 2 times the salary of the President of the United States. Does it make sense and where is the justification for it ??
