the nazi game plan was to repeat a big lie so often people would sooner or later believe it. we should recognize that a lie remains a lie no matter how cleverly it's packaged. we are being played and led to think we have an opinion. it would be funny if it weren't so pathetic and terminally unsustainable for america.

there are too many examples for a point by point rebuttal, but let's take "liberal fascism" for one. we moronically repeat this phrase without realizing it is nothing but a conservative intellectual cliché coined by jonah goldberg in a book that proves to be cleverly deceptive yet ultimately inane, should anyone bother to read it. he tries to sell us that 'totalitarianism', or control over our lives for the common good, is an extension of liberalism - an 'impulse' that manifests in nazi, fascist and even communist practices.

well, no matter how you lie about it liberalism led to legislative controls over wall street and bankers; better work and wage conditions and holidays and retirement packages; the growth of one wage families that could buy a new car, pay off a home and send the kids to school - the world's once enviable middle class, all of which is long gone, while fascism is the tie-up of government and industry for the privileged few.

we are for all intents and purposes at this point now with corporate lobbyists given unhindered access to congress critters hungry for campaign cash, while 'we the people' now have to apply for permits to attempt 'redress of grievances' or given 'free speech zones' out of earshot to voice opinions on issues critical to our democratic survival. yahoo, i get a vote that may or may not be counted as I intended every few years and i get to be ignored thereafter. what we have my fellow americans is creeping corporate socialism-slash-totalitarianism of profit keeping - loss sharing, irresponsible, slave-owning, immortal beings - the transnational corporation owned by anyone of any nationality with the ante.

we are angry at dims, repugs and liberals? - i can't name three uber-rich liberals other than soros, can you? the super 1% love theirs and want ours and that of our descendants too. our anger should be directed at those who have the ways and means to control the message and the well rewarded whores that sell it. yet sadly, these messages seem to keep us simpletons distracted. critical thinking is becoming a lost function in this fast-food, fear-and-loathing, digital age. remember, they really do hate us for our freedoms - even the few they let us think we still have.

our last hope is that when the uber-rich are finished bleeding us dry and walk away with the true wealth that hard work created, and we are truly a banana republic, we too can work for united fruit or chiquita ... or the pentagon ...
