I really liked Cain at first...but he has shown himself to be someone who obviously doesn't understand religious freedom or the constitution.

Another thing to consider is how much electricity this is going to use up. Environmentalists are always telling us to conserve energy - turn off lights when we're not using them, buy energy efficient light bulbs, take 5 minute or less showers and conserve hot water, etc....but how are you conserving electricity if you put millions of cars on the road that all constantly need to be recharged? Oh that's okay, we'll just build an extra 10 million of those wind turbines to give us the extra electricity that we'll need to power all those cars. Sure, the wind turbines will kill the landscapes (as well as kill birds that fly too close) but that's perfectly okay with us tree hugging, ecosystem loving, environmentalists.

And as soon as winter hits and I start getting hope that these lower than normal temperatures will mean snow...things will warm up and we'll have a warmer than normal winter. No sun in the summer, and no snow in the winter.

Electric cars will only ever be good for local driving. Nobody wants to go on a long road trip and have to continually stop every 100 miles to recharge their car. Even if they start making electric cars that can go for 400 miles before running out of electricity, that will just mean the recharge will take longer...you will have to stop every 400 miles and wait 3 or 4 hours each time while your car charges.

If you're going to make fuel efficient cars, can you at least make them look nice? The Prius is one of the ugliest cars since the Pacer.

Wow, the government is now telling people what kind of light bulbs they can and can't buy? Are you kidding me? If people still want to buy standard light bulbs, than let them! Will they be banning any car that gets under 30 MPG next? For crying out loud, government....stop trying to babysit us!!

I remember when it was said by the Christian right that if gays ever started to get their way, it wouldn't end there...that they would be demanding that gay history be taught in schools to our children next. Of course, the gays just laughed at this. They replied, "That's nothing but a load of fear mongering! All we simply want is the same rights as straight people have and nothing more!" Well here they are...demanding that gay history be taught in schools just as was predicted by the "fear mongers". This is obviously more than just them wanting to be "accepted"...they want to be in the history books right alongside African Americans and Native Americans (they are deluded in thinking that sexual lifestyle is the same as race).

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson
