And oh when you FINALLY got to Will of the Empress it was grand. You used to mention, back in the Tortall series, that you wish you had these stories when you were younger, if you were recommending them to your younger self which one do you think you would push first??? When I was younger, I related a lot more to the Tortall books and really needed a character like Alanna to help me with what I was facing. However, as I got older, the characters like Kel and Daja became more relatable than they were when I first read them. Lastly, thank you Mark. For being a wonderful human being, and making wonderful books even better. I'm joining you for Young Wizards, which will be completely new to me and I'm going to try very hard not to read ahead. We've seen Sandry play the big sister and trade off occasionally with the others but Briar doesn't often get to be the big brother to Sandry and when he is happy that he has her attention, I melt into a puddle of feelings. Briar Moss you sir are a true gentleman. Tris' entrance though. She is such a staunch defender and I think that's so beautiful about her. She is so fierce when it comes to defending people. It is the only time she is okay with a fight. I love you Tris. Just love you. Sandry is such a beacon of amazing. Even in distress she thinks her way through fear and comes up with a creative solution to her problem. She even makes time to be diplomatic while being furious. I will forever love her for being able to handle situations like this in this way.
