NewDay10 has made it sound as if her boyfriend was the only person there...there were several people who tried to save her life...not just one. Her statement is untrue and she should be ashamed of herself...other news sources confirm there was more than one man who carried the girl out of the area. I know this young man, he did not make it up...shame on you NewDay10 for casting doubt!

I am praying for EVERYONE who was up there and witnessed what happened, those who helped and above all the family. NewDay10, shame on you!!!!! It is amazing how you could write such a thing about someone who was indeed there and DID help and that you don't even know. I happen to know this young man, he is a kind and sensitive person who does not deserve your accusations. Other sources report that there were 3 men who helped to carry her down, not just your boyfriend. I find it very interesting that you talk about 2 minutes of fame and then you take the time to say "it was my boyfriend, not you" I believe that perhaps you should keep the focus on the grieving family. Jesse and the other two men, and anyone else who tried to help save this beautiful little girl...thank you from a community that is morning the loss of a child. Your actions were heroic, praying for your peace. NewDay10, I will pray for you too...I will pray for your compassion and clarity and if you were indeed there...I pray for your peace too.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Boeing reports sharply lower orders | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

In what post did you read that they hate working there...re-read mine...tired of people posting comments when they know nothing about the situation, most everything people post about the workers is based on missinformation. Now you fuel the flames with the above comment...exactly my point! We are tired of the snyde remarks from people who don't even know us. We are always thankful for my husband's employment, his pay and his benefits...he works hard when he is at work and comes home exhausted on most days. And if you work at Boeing then you should know that what I said in my post is true...the 787 was delayed long before the strike, the company needs to stop laying blame on the very workers they count on to save their butts...simple as that.

What??? You obviously don't work at Boeing or have a significant other that does. 777USA is pointing out that the company wanted two classes within the machinists...nothing to do with the office people. That is what is frustrating, people who make comments based on rumor and missinformation. Job security...yeah, never any guarantees, I'm well aware of that as we've been through 2 Boeing layoffs. The issue was that they were taking jobs that still needed to be done and giving them to outside companies who often make mistakes that are costing the company more money...poor management in my opinion. The strike is just a convenient way to try to cover their sorry butts for all of their mistakes. Gee I'd hate to see what some of you would say if everytime you had a review regarding your job the media plastered it all over the news with people that have no knowledge of anything that is going on making rude comments! Get off your soapbox, if you don't like what you are hearing then turn the news off...most of what they say are half truths anyway.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Skeptical strikers scrutinize Boeing offer | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Boeing

I really don't believe that I am judging anyone. Please re-read my posts. Another poster said that she was going to tell her husband that he had no choice...I said that I would work 2 jobs and ask my husband to find temp work rather than ask him to cross. I also said that if medical reasons caused someone to cross the picket line it would be understandable. You have taken bits and pieces of my posts, replied to me as if I were talking about your situation, I don't know you nor did I claim to know your or any other person's situation. I stand by my statement that it is unlikely that this strike is the cause of someone having their car reposessed or their home foreclosed on...it hasn't been that long. With all of that said, I do hope that this strike is over and things look up for you and your family.

My point was that blaming the strike for having your car reposessed would not be an accurate statement in my opionion. If a new hire was making only $12 an hour then surely finding temporary work would be easier than if you were maxed out. In my marriage we have a partnership, not a dictatorship...if it were against my husbands principals I would not tell him he "had to cross" simple as that. With that being said...his vote on this contract is his own, which I believe will be to accept this contract as his main issue was job security for 2,200 workers (and that didn't include him)

I see some of your point, but they haven't been out that long...if the repo guy is there to take the car then trust me they have been behind on their payments way before the strike. A phone call to the bank would have avoided that, banks don't want your car they want your money, they are willing to work with you. I for one would never tell my husband he had no choice, he is an adult and can chose for himself. I would rather work a second job, have him pick up some temp. work than tell him that he must cross a picket line. Medical reasons for crossing is understandable but the rest could have been avoided. I

The cost of paying employees (not just the IAM ones) is about 5% total of the planes cost so it is doubtful that the union is pricing it's members out of the market. Perhaps the upper management should give up their multi million dollar bonuses and take a paycut...it might bring that figure down to 4%. It isn't about the pay to it's employees, I would guess it is more of a threat to earn more tax credits from the state of Washington.

Actually, it is $81 per month not per paycheck for Selections...we have the same plan for a family of 4. We are anxious to see the whole contract and not just the highlights. It is a wait and see for us but we aren't jumping for joy yet.

I'm with you 787wife...if you are not leaving beyond your means there is no reason to be 2 month behind in your mortgage. It is not the responsibility of the union or the union members to bail him out. Sounds to me that FlyingMonkey was headed for financial trouble before the strike.

Woodinville, I would have to disagree with you in your comparison of 777mech and jtwoods, half of jtwoods posts have been deleted by the administrator because of abusive remarks. jtwoods adds nothing to the conversation/debates on this forum. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however in a civil manner. It is very clear that jtwoods has an agenda of upsetting people here. Everyone would be better off if no one responded to him. His posts are imature and he could possibly be a child pretending to be an adult working...you can't believe everything you read here.
