Did you happen to notice I said that they have land at a higher elevation by all the new homes on By-Yak-Way and Taxi Lits or the homes on the upper village by the health clinic/ youth center.

Also, don't forget that the reason the reservation is only one square mile is because the Quileutes refused to be forced onto the Quinault Reservation along with the Hoh Tribe, thus each tribe (Quileute, Hoh) was given a substantially smaller reservation of their own.

Not saying this was right by any means, just that is what happened and how they got such a small reservation.

We have no available high ground to build new facilities on.......

Really, what about all the new homes on By-Yak-Way and Taxi Lits or the homes on the upper village by the health clinic/ youth center. The is plenty of land at higher elevation for a elder center and school.

What this is an excuse to settle the long standing battle with the National Park Service and the tribe over land surrounding Rialto/2nd/3rd Beach.

They have high land, by the upper village and upper housing (Look at google maps for LaPush, WA). Really, what they want is Rialto, or use that as a bargaining chip for land around 2nd/3rd beach.
