We are a part of a government “Of the people, by the people and for the people.” The question is do “We the People” deserve to reap any less than what we have sown. We the Conservative Right have sat on our respective laurels for the Greater part of the last two decades, while the country and morality have slipped to lows seen only in the falls of the greatest cultures in history. If our churches statistically match the general populace, then why would the politicians be any different. We need people of a sound moral signature to raise up and run for office. We need people of sound moral character to elect those who run. We need people of sound moral values to live a life of exceeding grace to lead others to our agenda. We need people of sound moral stamina to raise their children to be the next “Greatest Generation” to replace the destruction we have allowed. (cont.)

As we waste time debating with those who have found it in their hearts to try and disturb this community, we lose sight of what is important: The current battle for freedom. We (Americans) have placed ourselves in the current situation and it is up to us, the people, to correct it. In 1877 James Garfield said this, “Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature.... If the next centennial does not find us a great nation ... it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces." He said this of the “people.” That includes us all. As conservatives if we want more people so see our side of the coin, we should probably live in such a way that deserves the respectful attention of those willing to listen. (cont.)

Samuel Adams once said of liberty's dissenters "If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." And he was allowed to say such thing because he was a man who lived by the principles and values of America. I doubt, though, that he would have wasted an entire day berating someone with a dissenting opinion. He had more important tasks at had, like the protection of liberty. (cont.)

Well Mr. Well Mr. Administrator may you not delete this comment for disagreeing with your choice to delete the comment posted by Karma911, that I read this morning. I thought it served as a great reminder of how quickly today's American's attentions are turned from what is important to berating someone to prove themselves right and righteous.

I joined this community to discuss and see discussed the future of our once great country under God. But, what I have seen so far is the typical complaining American. Just as the liberal community whines about their needs, so, so far, does the community of the conservative American. On 9-12 we did not care who was liberal and who was conservative, Christian, Jew, Hindu, etc. All we cared about was the disturbance of our beautiful amber waves of grain. We were prepared to do what was right and correct. And for a short time, we lived life in a way that drew people together. (cont.)
