9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Does the new Google Music match iTunes?

I don't think it's about amazing people with a single product. Specs only carry you so far. Right now it's about the ecosystem. iPads , iPhones, Macs and even PC are just nodes on a pervasive network. The winner of this battle is going to be the company that provides the best balances of ease and functionality IMO

So does this mean that an iPad Wifi+4G could be shipped that supports all major carriers with one model?

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Pixelmator 2.0 Chameleon goes live tomorrow (update: live now)

It should be free ...it looks like some 1990's reject. GIMP was cool back in the days but I'm gonna take a $30 Pixelmator with polish and nice new features like Content Aware Fill over that PhotoScrape.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Jobs told biographer that he cracked the code to building an HDTV

When Jobs did an interview with Mossberg and Swisher he said the problem with today's marriage between the network and HDTV is the go to market strategy. Jobs said everything is "another box under the TV". Right now the current Apple TV is yet another box under the TV. If progress is to be made in HDTV landscape it's going to require no boxes under the TV, dynamic content availability and unshackling consumers from $100 a month cable packages where they are still not getting what they want. Wrap this up in a nice easy to use UI, link it to the ecosystem and it will gain traction albeit a bit slowly.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Mercury Aura Pro Express 6G SSD upgrade boosts MacBook Air speed more than 3X

They're benchmarking again the 64GB SSD which now is only stock in the 11" MBA. The Samsung 128GB SSD in the 13" is much faster.

DocumentSnap : How To Use Neatco NeatWorks With Fujitsu ScanSnap

Costco right now has a great price on the NeatDesk ADF scanner and NeatWorks software for 299 but no Mac software. By the time I purchased the scanner with windows software and added $79 for the Mac version of NeatWorks i've blown my budget. So I'll probably stick with a Scansnap S1500M (plan to purchase) and my receipts/biz card will be handled by NeatWorks which i'll gladly pay the $79 for. That way I won't be tempted to track biz cards and receipts in DEVONthink Pro Office which I want to use research and other stuff. Glad to know the link is working. Also I'm waiting for the next major version of NeatWorks for Mac. At WWDC they were talking up new features enabled by Snow Leopard that piqued my interest
