Wow. It is the job of the government to make sure that Americans have what they need to prosper. It is okay to redistribute wealth to reduce debt.

First off, every American has what they need and that Elliot is the freedom to make choices that allow them to prosper. Relying on the government to provide you with anything will never allow you to prosper.
Secondly, I am quite certain that your perspective on redistributing wealth would be exactly opposite if it were your hard earned tax dollars being sent to someone who did not make the effort to prosper as yourself.
As far as debt is concerned, not creating debt would be the smartest plan of attack. The price of college is rediculous so as far as the student loans go that can't be held against you....
