I was not allowed to watch Ghostwriter reruns on PBS anymore after my little brother saw this episode and had nightmares, which I was very angry about because I loved the show!

My dad was The Bermuda Triangle for halloween one year - he cut out a triangle of blue cardboard, crashed some toy planes and boats into it, and hung it around his neck. Also I believe there were some question marks scattered across it.

I am always worried about this in Corporate America. I'm a cis woman, and I'm not particularly butch, but I'm not that femme either (virtually never wear makeup, wear pants and collared shirts often, though some days I'll wear a dress and earrings), and there are basically no women role models in upper management that don't have perfectly blown out hair, pencil skirts, heavy makeup, etc. Part of the problem here of course is that there are not very many women in upper management to begin with - but I always worry whether I'm not getting ahead because I'm not performing my gender correctly.

How to write a perfect email:

1. Jk, it cannot be done.
2. Still try though, and take at least half an hour per 50 words.
3. Close your eyes and press send.
4. Panic forever.

How could you think that "The Lottery" wounds you but once. Yes, there is a twist, and it's shocking, but it doesn't climax and then resolve - it keeps spiraling upward in horror and leaves you completely stranded. And then upon a reread, when you know what's coming, every single detail is sharply terrifying, it's delicious. Agh, now I've gotten myself all worked up over this idiot's terrible ideas!
