Well, let me be the first to say: if Sleepy and Ain't-Had-An-Idea-He-Didn't-Buy really cared, they'd step down and encourage the rest of the council to join them. They have little credibility, little trust from the electorate, and too many outside the city believe they're "incompetent" and "inept".

1) The car was new enough that they were able to read its "black box", which recorded its speed when the airbags deployed. Various sources have told me that reading was in the 80mph range.
