It's a good thing, then, that gays and lesbians are flocking to Muslim enterprises and demanding to be serviced for their weddings. Guess those Islamic-owned bakeries, florists, etc., will be slapped with the same astronomical fines. And yet Westboro Baptist's rights to scream ideological abuse at military funerals was supported as protected. Oh what a generous, kind, all-benevolent government we are a part of! It's so exciting to have a ringside seat and be a witness to all this progress.
Just for the record, in the evolutionary reckoning of the time of mankind on the earth, the days in which "gay marriage" has been "legal" is .00000041% of the full time. (I gave 30 days for the gay marriage people; as of this writing it has been less--just to be generous.) If I want to use biblical reckoning of time to give more leeway and a bigger percentage to the gay marriage folks, then gay marriage has been law for .001369% of the biblical time allotment for the human race. Time is not the strong suit of this cause. Time in which gay marriage has been "embraced" by the race is miniscule in comparison to the total span of human history in which marriage has been recognized as that between a man and a woman.
Your perspective is not necessarily an enlightened or even historically accurate one.

Remember when Nietzsche said "God is dead"? Now God is saying "Nietzsche is dead." Remember when John Lennon claimed he was more popular than Jesus Christ? His end was tragic, and now he is painfully and entirely aware of the truth. Now Jamie Foxx is saying (perhaps in jest) "Our Lord and Savior Barack Obama" to an evidently approving crowd (among whom are surely those who have called Jesus their Lord and Savior), yet neither Mr. Foxx nor Mr. Obama will do well in the end unless they repent before God and denounce such a foolish claim. Herod was eaten with worms in his narcissistic self-proclamation of glory. I feel sorry for those who trifle with the Living God as an object of vulgarity, toying with their eternity by deifying fallen men as Lord and Savior. I feel sadness for those who tolerate and encourage such displays. Again, unless they also repent, it will not be pretty for them in the end.
I'll tell you who the 1% is. It is the media, entertainment, and the government classes. We are just a few steps away from "Hunger Games" mentality.
