Thanks, great job Phillip and the rest of the Nader Team. You guys are doing a wonderful job at getting this stuff up on you tube. Is there a way to have this available in .mp4 too. Even adding it to the Nader podcast would be a plus.

Nader Team, Even through a sub woofer the sound was low. If someone was listening with headphones or cheap speakers they probably could not hear it. Was the audio source poor? I downloaded a copy for my Apple TV, and the quality was still pretty bad. A higher quality audio version would be wonderful.

Dano, Funny story. 2000 proves your theory long. Exactly what you argue Nader voters should have done, they did. In Midwest and southern states Nader got between 2-4% of the popular vote.In Florida he got only a bit past 1%. Many potential Nader voters supported Gore even though he was moving to the right (sound familiar) and he still lost. Florida was one of Nader's worst performing states in 2000.

Impressive job on both interviews. For those that missed it, here are both the C-Span and CNN videos. I thought Nader and Sanchez really clicked. He seemed to genuinely like Ralph. Hopefully this is a relationship can continue through the campaign season. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids...

http://www.votenader.org/ : Nader on ABC’s This Week Sunday -- Ralph Nader for President in 2008

I thought Ralph did OK. The one critique I have is that he did not mention the big O voting against a 30% interest rate cap. You can't on the one hand "talk " about the disasters of sub prime lending, while also voting against this cap. The very definition of sub prime is interest rates exceeding 30%. FYI, I recently was on a Sirius show called Blog Bunker. The interview was about socialism, Nader, lesser evilism etc. I was really caught off guard by the complete angst about Nader. http://proletariat.wordpress.com/2008/06/27/blog-...

Yes, it like a president died or something. I can now understand how folks felt when RFK was shot. In this big FU of a democracy that we live with, one always knew Carlin was on their side no matter what. I love his piece on voting, such blatant, truthfulness it makes you blush.

I was planning to send in a donation but then that votepac post came up. I am very hesitant to donate to the Nader Campaign if they are not going to run a serious campaign. I don't want it to be "safe" to vote for Nader. I read a piece today with Nader critiquing the Greens for their "safe state" strategy, how the hell is this any different.

The response to being a spoiler should be, yea isn't that the purpose. In a plurality based system, participation is spoiling. Why is there an attempt to somehow pacify the lesser evil fear tactics with "spoiler free" scams.

I certainly hope that Nader changes his mind on this votepac.

With all do respect this is the stupidest idea I have ever heard. Lets say 599 voters support Obama and 558 support McCain. One for each candidate support Nader, now we are at 598 and 557 respectively. What is accomplished by this silly PAC.

Maybe I don't get it, what's the purpose of being in the race you went to spoiler proof it. The mere aspect of participating as a candidate makes the election spoilable. Please take this stupid idea from where it came from.
http://www.votenader.org/ : Will Obama Let Big Corporations Buy the Democratic Convention? -- Ralph Nader for President in 2008

For the record, Obama never refused special interest money. What he did do is use a rhetorical device akin to what the meaning of torture is? Like Bush's "Americans don't torture" so then whatever we did was not torture, Obama does not accept PAC money, so whatever these "special interest" bundler's do it is not PAC related.

I hear there are those who consider this change.

Me too, Sirota is what I refer to as a faux populist. He even wrote a post awhile back trying to spin "Obama the populist". Sirota has always had disdain for Nader, that much is a fact. He is of the school that nice sounding rhetoric will get the Dems to reform. One, day they'll wake up and see the errors of their ways.

Sirota is a product of the disconnect between rhetoric and action. Maybe that's why Obama is a comfort zone for him.

Isn't that the truth - those legislating requirements for ballot access also putting up obstacles.

This reminds me of the 2006 election in WI. The debates were sponsored by a coalition of media players, and the requirement was getting 10% in a poll of one of these media players. Throughout the campaign season there was not one poll that included Eisman - Green canidate.

Where I am at is we need a separation of party and government. We have a separation of church and state why not party and state.

Thanks for doing the good work of getting Nader on the ballot.

http://www.votenader.org/ : Gaza -- Ralph Nader for President in 2008

Charles,
Give me a frickin break. Any time you call Israel into question it is anti-semetic. They are a terror state, pure and simple. Quit side stepping the issue. Do you condone the inhumane treatment in Gaza.

I suppose using your logic that if you were against the Nazi's in the 40's without mentioning lynchings in the U.S., you would be anti-German.

Take some responsibility as a human being. Zionism is a horrid ideology in which an Israeli life is worth more than a Palestinian one. Until you with a clear heart can see all humans with worth, nothing will change.

Ian,

I think that would be great to. That can only happen however if Nader is an option on the ballot. I know local Green parties have been waiting in anticipation to see if Nader was in deed running.

I currently have my 2008 ballot. Its just sitting there until I hear word if Nader is or is not seeking the nomination.

I think Nader / Gonzalez is the perfect ticket. It is one many Greens would love to vote for and support. Right now I hear rumblings Nader is not running as a Green, then he is still deciding etc. I think its important that clear intentions are set so Greens can act accordingly.

He might be. Since many social conservatives are left of center on economic issues, I am sure some are drawn to his candidacy. While I am certainly no social conservative, I believe our attention is much better spent on the class war instead of the cultural war.
