____Another angle on the achievements that I like is the DLC achievements, or Expansion Pack Achievements, thus yeilding 1100 or even 1200 points for the one title. Imagine if IW came out with one, just one, extra level for CoD4 that yeilded an extra 50GP and another 50GP for online, in conjunction with a new game type! (I know, hypocritical of me to say online achievements) This would bring a frenzy of people back to their consoles for some CoD4 action! Even today! Sadly, IW most likely wouldn't even be able to attempt such a feat as Activision wouldn't dare risk people leaving their step-child of a game, "CoD:WaW." IW knows where it's at. That's the end of the story, folks. __

I agree with an above poster that Online Achievements only invite "boosting" to the game. It takes no skill to do this. I also am not a fan of Secret Achievements, as it's usually some blind luck thing that happens once in a blue moon.

I tend to base my like or dislike of a game's achievements on the CoD series as a whole, as those are usually the finest in the industry (at least for that genre.) Veteran is not luck, it takes excruciatingly long and many attempt in many directions to get a feel for what you should do next. The only problem I've ever had with a CoD game's achievements was the lack of support for those who accidentally (or not) had on cheats that eternally stole that gamer's chance of 1000/1000. That lack of support is unacceptable, in my opinion. By the way, I am not one of those people, as I am 1000/1000.

I love me some Dr Pepper, too! Enough to know that there's no peroid after the Dr, due to an add campaign long ago that had the period been there, it would have looked like a colon. Like this- Dr:Pepper. I'm a dork. Ironically, I just got back from a 7-11 run to get some sweet nectar of the gods...Plus, I am that big a dork anyway because I collect Dr Pepper memorabilia. Hats, key chains, old and new bottles, tins, ties, watches, etc. It helps that I live only an hour away from the city it originated from: Waco. I recently went to the Dr Pepper museum and took their tour. Really cool, plus they have "Dublin Dr Pepper" there and have a soda jerk there making Dr Pepper floats. I really need a life, dude. Perhaps a prize for being such a dork?

This "laundry list" could patch in the unranked public matches as well as the bugs that already exist, for example the G3 silencer bug that makes it to where you can't melee. I know you all won't do it, but for future releases, your team should plan to implement unranked matches either from the beginning or to be inserted later once the masses "max out" their ranks. I understand they (unfortunately) didn't have the fore-sight to know that, hind-sight is always 20/20, but I find it hard to believe that it wasn't discussed as a possibility for this game at some point. Sorry to rant, Rob. It's just that I got some 19 days worth of play time from this game but it seems a bit stale and hasn't been in my disk tray for well over 4 weeks now. That' s sad, man, because I dig IW's products...

Would it have not been easier to implement a nonranked public match system, much like CoD2's? I feel it would eliviate the mess of making new playlist on the devs part because everything is there! Plus, so many people are Gold Crosses that they don't seem to care anymore, they just want something different. Please comment on this 402, I've asked a thousand times it seems and the only response I've got was from other gamers, not you.
