Apple doesn't need to and shouldn't enter a market simply because a competing company has a successful product.

The iPhone and iPad cover 99 percent of user's needs. Anything in between is too large for a phone and too small for a proper tablet. It would be the iPhad, and not necessary.

I hope Apple under Tim Cook has the smarts to realize one thing Steve Jobs said, innovation/focus means saying 'no' to 1,000 things, not 'yes' to 1.

Your setup did not cost $723. You are ignoring the $400 SSD you were given, and ignoring the cost of a DVD burner (we'll say $30). Your setup would cost $1153, $153 more than a quad core i7 Mac Mini server. It's also a Hackintosh and will have compatibility problems (doesn't have built in bluetooth, built in wifi, etc.), it uses 500 watts of electricity while a real Mini uses under 100 watts, and your Hackintosh has no resale value. I could sell my 3 month old Mini Server for $800 today and it will always have value.

Spending $1000 to build a Hackintosh is not intelligent.

This is a third party speculating on what the TV would look like. One major problem is that it appears they just took a stock IKEA photo of an generic early (and fake) HDTV and a DVD player on a table and Photoshopped an iPad in and changed the image on the TV screen. Even that DVD player is 10-15 years old. But the furniture, layout, and photo's "look" are IKEA all the way. Whoever is claiming this is a mock up is an idiot.

There's no way Steve Jobs nor Tim Cook would approve anything that hideous. This looks like one of the first HDTV's 10 years ago. If this thing is as far along as the reports claim, Steve Jobs certainly saw some prototypes and would have gone ballistic if this were presented to him.

It's only to prevent other websites from stealing the photo. Haven't you noticed that the slew of Apple covering websites mostly rip each other off? Very few post anything original on their own.
