Okay, so given current makeup trends, what do you think we will look back on in horror 10 years from now?
I have a feeling that ultra-sculpted/drawn-on brows + excessive contouring will be at the top of the list.
I got my nipples pierced last weekend and I had forgotten how terrifying it is to care for a new piercing - you want to make sure it's clean and healing correctly but you can't clean and fuss with it TOO much or it'll get irritated and infected anyway! I also can't tell whether I need longer barbells or if the wounds are just normally irritated from having to wear clothing all the time and WHY IS THIS SO STRESSFUL.
Was anyone else reading the Haney piece and thinking she's probably uncomfortable because a man she doesn't know is talking to her on public transportation, not because she's "eccentric"
When I work from home, I spend more time goofing around on the internet (see: today) but I get more done overall. 8-10 hours of work in the office take me 3-4 hours at home, because I'm not distracted by phone calls and needy clients stopping by my office unannounced. I think my quality of work is better when it's from home, too.

I also met my boyfriend through online dating and was not sure whether he was "my type." As it turns out, he WASN'T my type, because my type was awful mantrash and this guy is amazing. Took me a few dates to warm up to him, but I'm glad I stuck it out.

I want to make this required reading for anyone who things harassment of any sort should be taken as a joke or compliment. In fact, I want to make this required reading for all men.
I agree with Mallory's Hot Take re: articles on porn/sex work. I also suggest that we don't cherry-pick and only read articles written by people from the industry who we already agree with. Because, hey! Not everyone who works/has worked in porn/sex work has the same opinions about it!
I find her insufferable as a person and I hate her characters but I think her writing is gorgeous so I'm v conflicted on the Joan Didion front.
I was too young to appreciate Roseanne when it first aired, but I started watching it on Netflix last weekend and I absolutely love it. It's genuinely funny (complete with some great misandrist humor) and the things you pointed out make it truly great. More Roseanne, please, Netflix!
