Big Government : Shocking! Bat-wielding Union Thugs Attack Non-union Workers

This is awful, but I am not surprised. I know of many incidents involving violence perpetrated by union thugs including an incident involving myself. A few years back my cousin and I went on a vacation to Las Vegas, and we simply walked in front of a group of union employees protesting in front of the Venetian Hotel and Casino. We were verbally harassed, threatened, and called all sorts of vulgar names simply because we walked in front of these guys. Keep in mind that we were only 23 years old at the time, and we are 5' 2" females. Needless to say I can not stand union employees and that was my first and last trip to Vegas!

Breitbart.com : Video gone from phone activist used in La. caper

What justification does the US government have for destroying evidence from a criminal case? How dare this judge delete O'Keefe's video footage! As a LA resident and native I am not at all surprised by this judge's actions since we have some of the most lousy and corrupt judges in the country. Journalists used to be protected and have freedom of speech in the US, but unfortunately that is no longer the case. I am very disappointed about what the United States has become; it is no longer a beacon of freedom and equality. It is now a state run by greedy politicians who think that they are above the common citizens.

Breitbart.com : Louisianans take oil cleanup in own hands as frustration mounts

Thanks for the support, and let me say that the Louisianians I have spoken with support Arizona and your immigration law. The federal government does nothing to help fix our problems, and at the same time our President has no problem with the outrageous statements made by the President of Mexico regarding Arizona. Lastly, I want to say how disgusted I am by the boycott of Arizona by many CA communities. I have no current plans to vacation on the West Coast, but when I do decide to take a trip out West it will be to AZ and not CA!

I am outraged! Our Coast is being destroyed, our wildlife is dying, and many people in the fishing and tourism industries are at risk for losing their jobs....meanwhile the officials in Washington are busy coming up with new ways to take more of our money! What is wrong with the majority of voters in the US that they were willing to put these people in charge of our government?

As a Louisiana resident I am happy that we are attempting to take care of our own problems especially after our Katrina response which many people criticized. That said I am very disappointed (but not surprised) with the response from the Federal Government and BP. While I am not against drilling I can understand Florida's aversion to offshore drilling especially when you consider that LA, MS, AL, FL, and TX do not get royalties for the oil and gas extracted from these rigs because they are in "federal waters." Alaska is generously compensated for their oil, but we get nothing yet we are expected to clean up the damage done to our coastline by this disaster.

The Hayride : The French Quarter Fracas: D-Bloc (Updated, 8:45 a.m, 4-21-10)

I find it interesting that the mainstream news media constantly accuses the Tea Party protesters of violence and racism with absolutely no evidence supporting their claims, and yet they completely ignore this story. I hope whoever attacked this couple are prosecuted to the harshest extent allowed by law; a free society can not tolerate this type of behavior. I can't believe that these people actually broke a woman's leg! The violent thugs that did this disgust me!

This is great news!!! You know that the Federal Government is extremely disappointed with Toyota's improving sales numbers. I am also happy that Ford's financial situation has been improving over the last year. I just hope that GM sales continue to tank. I don't care if I have to walk to where I need to go; I will never buy a General Motors car!

Breitbart.com : Scientists stumped as bee population declines further

Zilam428: Actually the loss of bees is also happening in Europe so there is some evidence that this is happening in developed countries. I am not saying that cell phones are the reason for the loss of these bees, and I would agree that the losses are likely being caused by chemicals (pesticides), bacteria, or a virus. That said, since this is a global phenomenon and seems to be happening in developed areas such as the US and Europe, the possible connection to cell phone use should be studied.

Parcbench : The Swiss Ban on Minarets Is No Cause For Conservative Celebration

Good for the Swiss! I am sick and tired of people being so concerned with political correctness in the Western world. The writer may think that this is harmful to classical liberalism, but I think it is a victory for true democracy. The Swiss people voted on this law, Mosques were not banned, and Switzerland is not a traditionally Islamic country. So what is the problem? If Muslims that live in Switzerland are unhappy with Swiss law, they can always move. I just want to say that my post is not meant to be an attack on Muslims. In fact I also have no problem with the Saudis banning the building of Churches or Temples if the majority of residents in the Kingdom do not want them. Laws in Switzerland require referendums to be held in order to change Swiss law; the people have voted and don't want minarets. I would also like to add the fact that laws regarding religion in Europe differ from the laws here in the US. In fact if I recall correctly, in places like Scandinavia and Germany, there are still national churches that are supported by tax payers' money. I don't believe the author is qualified to comment on this topic, and I don't believe an American author should be commenting on European law unless it truly relates to injustice and oppression. Building codes in Switzerland can hardly be seen as causing injustice and oppression.

Breitbart.com : FACT CHECK: Palin\'s book goes rogue on some facts

Instead of obsessing over a former Governor and VP candidate maybe the AP should actually start doing real journalism. Is it too much too ask these so-called journalist to report on real issues like the House health care bill, the rising US unemployment rate, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Cap and Trade? What a pathetic unprofessional bunch! No wonder US news organizations are tanking. That said if this is all they can come up with to attack Palin then they have nothing. Oh, and I would like to make the point to all of these "fact checkers" that four days at an expensive hotel qualifies as "not often." Also, $500.00 donations are relatively small when compared to the millions funneled to liberal candidates by people like Soros. Finally they question her ambition or lack there of. How would some random AP employees know her true motivations? I must have missed the proof of their psychic abilities. Here they are pretty much accusing Palin of lying with NO EVIDENCE to back up their assertions. Maybe the AP needs their facts checked?

Breitbart.com : \'Islam not responsible\' for Fort Hood massacre: US imam

Well technically "Islam" may not be responsible, but an Islamic extremist is. I agree with cliffclaven who feels that this is cover for Obama. The news media is covering for President Obama because they believe that a terrorist attack on a US military base in the United States makes the President look weak. Also, they do not want to agree with anything former President Bush believes, and President Bush believes Islamic extremists are a danger to this country. A terrorist attack on the US military on US soil seems to back up Bush's viewpoint. Anyway the man claiming that Islam played no role in these attacks is an Imam so what do you expect? My main complaint is the reaction of the so-called news media. People who believe that they are getting the real news from the American press are naive at best. I can not believe the number of people covered by the news media that are willing to suggest that this attack was caused by anything but Islamic fundamentalism. One possible cause of the attack some people suggest is "combat related stress." What a joke!!! This man has never seen combat in his life, and he is a supposed mental health professional who should know how to deal with stress anyway.

Since President Obama won the Presidency with about 52% of the vote Sting is calling close to one half of the US population "agressive, violent, and full of fear." Wow what an arrogant, ignorant, jerk! Honestly Sting is a nobody. People have not cared about this man in the last twenty years so I guess he will try anything to get attention.
