Yes, it CAN be an excuse for lonliness. Her thought process could have been such that as long as she knew where the pets were, she wasn't alone.

I wouldn't want frozen pets stored around where my kids may be. That being said...I don't think this woman is a threat. She isn't exhibiting possible sociopathic behaviors such as killing the animals herself. She's not torturing the animals. The situation strikes me as a lonley woman who can't bear to part with her pets. How many of us allow our pets to live long after they are lacking in a good quality of life? Is the reason because you bear to be without them? Maybe that's a little of the same sentiment here.

Maybe by broadcasting this, it will be a deterrant to SOME of the people who want to rob a pharmacy. These type of people make it really hard for those of us who actually do NEED pain meds.

I don't care if he does have "the following of a rock star". The facts are, he stoled from people, he is eluding police, he is destroying private and possibly public property. Those things are all illegal. As far as the insurance paying for any damages, those people with the insurance policies must pay a deductable. Because of the things this little imbicile is doing, we all wind up paying more in insurances premiums. Since we are all pretty much ojn a VERY tight budget right now, paying higher insurance premiums (or a large deductable if you've had to make a claim) takes money away from an already stretched food and utility budget. Now, tell me where this lunatic isn't hurting anyone.

I don't really care if he has "the following of a rock star". He broke the law. He put lives in danger. He ruined private property. He stoled from people and businesses. Your staement that insurance will pay for all the damage is total idiocy. That kind of frivilous thinking is what drives insurance rates up therefore making ALL of us pay higher premiums. The higher premiums we have all have to pay because of this lunacy takes money away from budgets that are already stretched to the limit. That translates into not being able to afford enough food or proper medical care. Those things transfer into harming people. I'm the LEAST unptight person you'll possibly ever meet...but it doesn't take much thinking to come to the same conclusions I did.

So, you think the man won't miss his feet? What kind of life will he have now? What quality do you think he's going to live with? Your remarks are way off base. Having an ulceration does NOT mean the man was unhealthy. I know a man who is VERY healthy, yet got a disease called osteomyalitis and lost his lower leg because of it. Now, this elder gentleman will have a terrible time dealing with day to day chores. He'll need to figure out how to take care of himself with NO FEET. Do you think you could do it?

So...going by that train of thought, all combat soldiers are "somewhat mentally ill" then? If you feel that cops are one step away from felons, consider that they must be able to think like a felon in order to catch them. I've got to throw down the hooey card on your ideas VancouverView. Maybe you're just a bit sick yourself?

Not ALL people who kill are mentally ill. Have you ever been in combat? Have you ever had to defend yourself or your child? Ever gotton in a wreck that was your fault and someone died because of it? Are these people mentally ill? I don't know enough about this particular case to form an opinion. So I can't say one way or another if I think this particular person has issues with mental illness.
