there was a way. the same day the update came out they released the way, but the new way is coming very soon, it will be all good.

4.1 is released in beta and from what dev team has posted it will not effect the jb and unlock becuase there is no firmware change. so you dont have to rush, and of course you can always buy used

have you tried putting it in DFU mode and doing and doing as software restore. that will upgrade it to 4.0.1, but i would think fix the problem.

email them with the serial and find out what counrty it is from. I thought they only made the phone for att, but i guess not

if you really cant borrow a att sim card for 15 mins from someone, or buy one off of ebay, then i think you are screwed. but sell the phone at lease and get the cash, or yeah donate it. sorry dude
