If you look at what Boeing gave the stock holders of McDonell Douglas and what they got in return it really looks like they were the ones doing the buying and keeping Boeings name because it was working well and it had the reputation that was provided by the employees. It seems that Boeing seems to follow the economy by about 2 years. I expect that the layoff notices will start about the first quarter of 09. It isn't about being greedy as a lot of people like to put it. It is about getting what you deserve and want while you can. The Boeing company is a great place to work and it has good benefits. But they like to call them world class so they should give a world class contract to the employees that make the promises they give to their customers a reality. To those that aren't in this contract your imput is important and it is welcomed as long as it doesn't cross the line of name calling and insults as it did in this forum on many of the comments that were posted while the IAM was out.
