The music in these videos is pretty moving stuff. Very cool. As much as I love San Diego, Seattle is a special city. We live in such a nice place. Excellent post!! Have a great weekend :)

"And those have every right to be upset with the blown forecast. It is our duty to try to get the best forecast we can and when we predict 2-5" and something close to squat happens, we didn't do our job and we will learn from this."

Not sure you blew the forecast. Didn't do your job? I believe you did a great job. People will have to learn to live with variability in the forecast. In fact, you're the one on Twitter who said it you still believed the heavy snow amounts would be north of Seattle. Well done, overall.

Big Goose-Egg - 0 inches in Silverdale. We were the snowshadowed folks in Kistap Co.

We always win on the overrunning events though. I love those :)

Lk. Tahoe - 2-4 feet with this same storm :) Now that's awesome! Excellent storm coverage Scott.

This was mostly a bust for the metro area proper. Bedtime.

Wish Erik all the best. I love watching him pitch when he's on. That curve is deadly with a spotted fastball of 91. Do your thing Erik. Glad to have you back.

Stick with the MD-80 Super 80. They are amazing planes.
Ever notice how United's flights are always cancelled or delayed on SeaTac's reader boards? Always.
Poor quality airline. I purposely avoid United. Southwest, Alaska, and American are far superior.

We got 4" of snow in November and 5" in this latest storm. That's 9" for the season in Silverdale. It hasn't been that big of a bust. The artic outbreak in November was unreal. Winds gust over 60 in Kitsap County and 3 days without power. It was cold for a long time! And then this lastest snow was quite impressive. While not as intense as I thought La Nina would be so far, it hasn't been all that bad either. So far it seems like there's always something interesting going on. Now it's the warm temps, bad skiing weather, and avalanche warnings. You just know February and March are going to be crazy! Cool blog entry!

Third that. Birk, you had other options. You had your gun already drawn when you first appear in the dash cam. You knew what you were going to do from the get go.

Make him take a lie detector test. See what that shows.

I know it's early, but take a look at this!

Over a foot of snow in Seattle and surrounding areas!
It's too early to get too excited, but early enough to be excited :)
I so hope this pans out. Keep us posted Scott.

Paul - Excellent morning forecast discussions under the Weather page. Scott's afternoon write-ups are stellar, but your morning discussions are very good. I enjoy reading them immensely. I live in Silverdale and work at Keyport. It's nice to have such thorough, accurate, and informative weather discussions. Keep up the good work and enjoy the New Year! - Harrison
