Longmont Times-Call : Johnnie St. Vrain: Neighbor\'s effort to slow motorists only creates another problem - Longmont Time

Sure, you could go to the city... but the city is notorious in my neighborhood for shrugging their shoulders and saying there's nothing to do. Need an example? Seems I've ready several times in the Times Call that the city will do nothing to make a safe crossing of 17th street between Hover and Airport. Maybe Bob and his staff are waiting for some kids to get hurt before they do anything.

Longmont Times-Call : 300 Suns Brewing plans October opening - Longmont Times-Call

If they expect to have a successful brewery in this state by going half in - most owners keeping other jobs presumably working this in their spare time, trying to crowdsource money since they don't want to fully invest themselves... I'm guessing the beer will be equally half committed. There are plenty of fully committed breweries to go visit.

Longmont Times-Call : Owners of JAM\'s Place share secrets of their gourmet grilled cheese business - Longmont Times-Call

Their food has been ok. But I won't spend any more money with them since I've seen them driving down my residential street at 10+mph over the speed limit while towing their trailer (the speed/radar sign flashed "slow down" they were going so fast!).

Longmont Times-Call : Longmont shouldn\'t take a big hit on cycle event - Longmont Times-Call

Huge visibility for Longmont = more house hunters, more businesses considering us for relocation or business starts, increased exposure for current businesses. All wins, and any money spent by the city is money well spent. The added bonus is showing the rest of Colorado and the country that sane communities thrive so close to the insanity that is Boulder.
