Me too - the romance in this show can be entertaining, but my favorite moments by far are the family/friend interactions, in all their many configurations. At this point, I would count the Petra/Rafael/Jane dynamic as a family one, although certainly a complicated family!

This scene with the aide, and Jane thinking he was flirting, just really struck a nerve for me, because it’s really easy for people to claim that they weren’t hitting on you at work, and they might not have consciously been, I don’t know, but there are still some behaviors that cross the line into inappropriate whether they were *meant* to be flirting or not, because they can make people uncomfortable. I would say the hand on her arm, and the commenting on her appearance and dress both cross the line for me.

Petra does protect everyone around her :) Someone on here posted previously about how she has grown while not fundamentally changing throughout the show. Okay, these are two of the things that I had been spoiled for - that Michael dies and that there is a big time skip. I didn’t know they happened at the same time, I just saw people mention both facts online after I stopped watching the show while it was airing. I am assuming that these are both permanent, but with this show who really knows… I am really sad. Michael wasn’t always my favorite character, but he had been really growing on me this season, and I feel so bad for Jane and Mateo, as well as everyone else. I also have so many questions, I feel like a lot of things were just about to happen and now we have skipped three years?? I guess I will just have to keep watching and find out.
