Union Station : 5 Tips for Deploying Background Jobs in Ruby on Rails

We had an odd issue when using thinking sphinx and vendored rails. Using rails 2.3.3 and thinking sphinx with delta indexes we'd get seg faults sporadically, the exception happening in a few places in rails, when running a cyclic reindex through a cron job. Moving rails back to a system installed gem fixed it. This happened on two separate servers. Has anyone else seen this?

Obie Fernandez : RMM Behind the Scenes

do the number of endorsements determine a firm's visibility and perceived success on the rmm site? the success/visibility of a firm should not be dependent on the total number of endorsements. a small firm may not have as many endorsements because of size but still follow best practices and have a high rate of success, possibly a higher ratio of happy clients then a larger firm.
