This was reintroduced on the tail end of the close Gitmo bill. It has been sitting in congress for a few months now. It basically makes it so costly to own a firearm that you can't afford to do so anymore. They gave up on banning firearms and have now resorted to making a firearm to expensive to own. I recommend joining the NRA now if you aren't already a member and want to continue to enjoy the 2nd amendment.

I found a link that is trying to track how many people showed up at the tea parties. I'm not sure how accurate this is as I have never heard of these people before but I'm checking into it, feel free to do the same. They have the total at over half a million and it is still growing as they receive more reports.

If we made one mistake with these tea parties it was that there were too many. I know we all have jobs since we are the working Americans in this country but we should try to combine the rallies that only had below 1000 next time to really flex our muscles and show our true numbers. I'm willing to drive a bit further, especially if it is on a weekend.

Yeah I watched that CNN chick live and it really disturbed me. Now what I didn't like that Fox edited was that she first started harassing some guy wearing a sign with Obama dressed up as Hitler calling him a Fascist. Now I don't like the guy and I do think we are headed down a road that may lead to Fascism but don't wear something like that if you aren't prepared to speak to it and back it up. Fox should have shown both encounters to maintain their claim that they are fair and balanced.

What that CNN lady did to the guy with the two year old was absolutely despicable.

We need more than two people though to start another protest against stimulus/omnibus/socialist policy backed companies. Whose with me?

Totally agree, this is their first attempt to bypass the constitution and our 2nd amendment rights by signing an international treaty. FYI, you can't buy an automatic assault weapon in the US they have been outlawed for years. You can buy semi-automatic weapons but you have to have a drivers license and social security number....I'm fairly sure illegal aliens don't have either of these so how are they getting guns to Mexico?

Also if you have heard liberals talk about .50 caliber rifles that showed up in Mexico those were given to the Mexican Army by our Government several years ago. I'm sure there isn't any corruption in the Mexican military and those guns were sold on the black market by some general looking to make a buck or who is in bed with the drug cartels. Get real.

If Obama is true his word which I am sure he is not he is supposed to be returning to France to Normandy to honor our fallen heroes who died in WW2. Since I know he is a liar though and he will be in Washington or doing something else I disapprove of I'm in.

He is a dill hole and should get kicked off of Fox news. I have hated him since he drew a map in the sand while he was in Iraq giving away the marines he was with position & jeopardized their mission. Disgraceful, he should have never been allowed on TV again.

I say we start hitting them where it hurts. The government does not worry about bad publicity or protests but you know who does? Private businesses. Lets target key businesses with ties to stimulus money, omnibus budget money, or ties to wasteful government spending projects and start protesting at those locations. Now I am not saying we should form protests at every place that received money but just places that we identify as blatant waste of government spending.

Money talks as they say and I guarantee this will receive attention from congress. There is no denying things when it starts impacting their pockets or their power which is all anyone in Washington seems to care about.
