Seems unreal that a child so young can get "lost" walking down the hall towards his classroom. Disturbing to say the least. I have six grand children in public schools and pray that this never happens to any of them.. or any other child either. So many questions.. and there are not very many answers. Pray for his safety please, and the safety of all the children.

I have to wonder why he was so set on seeing his precious dog????? Beastuality perhaps???? Sick-O! He should also be held responsible for any and all medical bills for his daughter, espceially all the mental heath bills she will incure for the rest of her life! It is obvious he does not give a #@$% about her!

I see people use the phone and text while driving all the time! I don't care if they get in an accident.. just don't hit anyone else! They should have their drivers license suspended. Maybe that will deter them. Saw a guy "trying" to turn one of the huge motorhomes onto Highway 99 from a side street. He bairly made it.. of course he was talking on the phone. I mouthed to him to "GET OFF THE PHONE" and he actually used the hand he was steering with to flip me off! Look.. NO HANDS driving!

I should have taken a picture of him and sent it into the newspapers and police.

This is definately a situation no one wants to even think about happening to them.. let alone someone they know. To be realistic though, people are invited into our homes ocassionally for various reasons. Sometimes they are a friend of a friend... and you have no idea how long they have known that person. You can even meet someone at a respectabale place (church, community events), then talk for a while and feel comfortable with them enough to invite them into your home.

Have you ever invited one of your child's friends parent(s) into your home... do you really know them? If you are in any "home sales" business... do you really know everyone enough to feel totally safe with them as they enter your home for meetings and such?

The blame for this incident goes to the OFFENDER, not the parents who probably acted in good faith. My thought and prayers go out to this family. But there is no way that I will place any blame on them. They are not the criminal!

The Settle area is not the only place on I-5 that speed racing is happening. It happens here in Oregon all the time. The speed limit on most of I-5 is 70mph. If you travel at that sped, the cars traveling in the slow lane will even pass you! And the dirty looks are so funny!

Back to the speed racers. In the left lane, if I am traveling even 80 MPH, there will be a line of cars behind me... and talegating so close all I see is their grill in my rear view mirror. Tailgating is illegal. I have to laugh when someone behind me starts flashing their headlight at me... HELL-O, this is not the autoban! I have seen young drivers weaving in and out of traffic and they must be going at least 95MPH.. and that is a very low estimate. What is their plan if they come up on two cars traveling side by side and there is no space for them to pass the cars?

Why do we have a natiional speed limit if no one is paying attention to it? Aand do not even get me on the subject of rude drivers!
