I am sorry to hear this happened to you and your dog. That has to have been a terrible experience for you. I do have to also say that I have had nothing but good experience with Diane. I do agree wity you about Michelle.

FAR FROM UNANIMOUS?! NOT TRUE! I only heard a couple people speak in support of licensing. The VAST majority were opposed. The Gazette is losing credibility by it's lopsided reporting when it comes to animal issues. The reporter "forgot" to mention the unanimous support for low cost spay/neuter as a better way to address the pet population issue.

CR has had this ban since 2005. It's under the animal abuse section.

Re licensing - citizens are already challenged by the recession and aftermath of the flood. There is no benefit to animals or citizens. Pet owners know where to find their lost animals. Make your objections known at the 6:30 meeting tonight at CRPD, the City Council meeting Tuesday at 5:30 at Hiawatha City Hall and by writing to Council (access them via on the city website www.cedar-rapids.org). City officials need to hear from us!
