BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Wagner Blows Save, Braves Fall in 12

Grrrr another blown save last night. That's two saves against the Marlins that Wagner has blown. Let's just win the series and get out of town.

If chipper does retire, it would make a storybook ending to win it all this year, especially with Bobby already retiring.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Bobby Cox Coaching Elsewhere in 2011??

This sounds like some crackpot SI writer trying to get pageviews by writing something controversial. Disregard it and move along.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Jimenez Throws Rockies' First No-Hitter

It's never fun to lose, but it's always interesting to see a no-no play out. At least the Bravos bounced back today and pulled off a 9th inning win.

Interestingly, Hittrackeronline.com doesn't have Glaus' HR listed yet. I'm new to that site, do they usually miss some?

Consider this: Four Braves players have hit a total of seven long balls this year. Our current leader (with 3HRs) is a 20-year old who's had less than 2-weeks in the bigs. I'd say the future is bright for Heyward.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Week 1: Roster Recap

Optimistic, yes, concerned, maybe. We need series wins, and we don't get many opportunities to take the season series from these west coast teams. Last night Troy Glaus finally showed what he can do, but all those strikeouts to start the season? Sheesh. I'd take LaRoche at this point.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Glavine Says He's Ready

Glavine's return is a tough proposition. My inner child wants to jump and scream and be excited for his return. But then, I remember he's over 40 and not as durable as he used to be. We're still in the first half of the season, we're only 3.5 games out of first, why rush him. We all know that when a player tells Bobby he's ready to return, Bobby tells him to wait one more day. This isn't abnormal. Go Braves.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Medlen Called Up

Now that Medlen has started two games what are everyone's thoughts? I was certainly hoping for more than 6k's 7BB's and a 9.72 ERA in 8.1 innings. How many attempts does he get? Knowing Bobby, I'd say he's got plenty left.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Medlen Called Up

We all knew something had to happen. Bobby gave Jo-Jo plenty of opportunities but going 0-9 in your last 18 major league starts requires adjustment. Hopefully this will be what he needs. Now onto the decision to bring up Medlen instead of Hanson. I like basing the move on the stats vs popularity. We've heard so much about Hanson, but that doesn't mean it's time to move 45 minutes south of Gwinnett. However, considering the gap that he's filling, you can't go wrong with either guy. Go Braves!

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Lowe Outduels Santana, Braves Win

This is one of those games that I wish was played at the Ted. And ole fashioned pitcher's duel is always fun to watch. Especially when it falls in the Bravos favor. Then, top off the road trip with Kotchman filling the void for the injured guys... it makes watching the games that much more fun. Go Braves.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : Garret Anderson Is A Bitch

"Lemme Twitter Dat!!" I had to retweet this. It's funny because its true, which is unfortunate. Hopefully Wren will realize this and get someone else to platoon with Diaz. Somebody who wants to see this team get back into the playoffs. Go Braves.

BravesBlast.com :: Atlanta Braves Blog : The Braves Are A Sleeping Giant

There will always be "injury issues." Every team, every year will have some significant injury. The teams that succeed are the ones where there remaining players step up to fill the gap. I haven't seen anyone in the Braves lineup step up this year. When Chipper and McCann are out of the lineup, opposing pitchers have nobody to fear. Even with Chipper in the lineup, they'll just pitch around him. Thankfully there is still plenty of season left to be seen. Things may change. Go Braves.
