I'd like to know more about the new HUD Secretary. I understand he hails from NYC. What was his position on the Starrett City Sale of mixed use housing by the New York Housing Authority? The sale was thwarted by HUD. What is the Secretary Elect's position on the Asset Based Management Plan promulgated by the Harvard Study? The "Plan" essentially provides for affordable housing to be viewed as single development assets. Some more "profitable" than others. Those developments that are profitable will survive; those that are not would be eliminated. Additionally, the "Plan's'" position is that affordable housing (Housing Authorities included,) should be concerned with housing only and not the educational, social services, health issues that residents may have. What is the Secretary Elect's position on these issues?
