Obviously there is no perfect solution, however the governments solution in my opinion is unfair. About a quarter of Americans are smokers, so i say why not offer bars, taverns and clubs HUGE tax breaks if they make their location a Non Smoking location which will be enforced by the law. Then the government can raise the tax a couple cents on cigarette packs to make up for the tax breaks. Then if you want to go to a bar and smoke or you dont mind smoke you can go to one of those bars, if you dont like smoke then you can go to one of the smokeless bars. It seems pretty straightforward to me. I understand why people dont want to inhale second hand smoke but i also understand that some people do... thats just my two cents
This is from a book on the history of pit bulls...
"Since dog fighting required smaller and more agile animals than the ones that were used in baiting, fighting bulldogs were bred with terriers who were known for their feistiness and indefatigable focus. The result was the bull-and-terrier, more commonly known as the first pit bull terrier - a muscular, canine gladiator bred specifically for combat with other dogs."
I did not say only pit bulls can attack people. Of course all dogs can bite. Im just saying that the breed is a factor...
If this is the definition of a terrorist, im pretty sure the vast majority of us are terrorists than... And well honestly Calvin College didn't have much say at all in what happened... once the police were called the college had no say in the punishment, even though they did send a letter to the court....Thankfully they were let off and can resume their lives.
False. The dog breed has a lot to do with it. Yes training is also a part, but pit bulls were bred to fight, so in my opinion it is ignorant to say that breed "had nothing to do with its actions."
Forsyth should be spending his time prosecuting, murderers, drunks, child molesters, and child abusers out there instead of three college kids who made a mistake that should not be worthy of a felony. So because some resources are spent we need to spend more... doesn't make sense
Actually you can hold dry ice in your hands if you keep moving it around and be fine.... Ive done this before... maybe not the smartest idea. However just being hit by it wont do much... if someone held it in a clenched fist or it was held up to your skin for more than a few seconds it would burn you but being hit by a piece from a dry ice would most likely not result in a chemical burn (unless like i said it got stuck on someones skin, which is unlikely...)
What if it was your child that was playing with dry ice instead of getting wasted on a Friday night, and he got thrown in prison for 5 years? Would you feel the same way?
Well see the only way the "bomb" would do that to a person was if the person was hugging it, or sitting on top of it. And isn't a cinder block made to hold force from top to bottom, not from the middle outwards... Yes it was stupid we all realize this, but jail time or expulsion, no way...
