Big Government : NY Times' Paul Krugman Calls for 'Government Jobs' Jobs Plan; Cites Union-Funded Study

Imagine how real economists like Thomas Sowell feel when they read this nonsense! I don't know how they can stand it w/o going insane from hearing all this endless dribble about gov't programs and rescues and bailout and stimulus....

Big Hollywood : Obama Official Whines About 'Unfair' Treatment From...Stephen Colbert?

With the release of the statistic pointing out how few of the Obama cabinet and upper level staff have private sector experience I now understand why we keep getting silly, childish reactions in situations that in the real world you would keep your head down and carry on....these folks are still operating on the elementary school emotional level. In the real world if your division or office had made the amount of serious errors that DeSeve's has made you would first clean up the mess and then show some good works before uttering a sound for fear of attracting any further attention from the bosses. When you've been busted for incompetence in the Nth degree the LAST you do is stand up and complain someone mispronounced your name especially since it would usually rhyme with hit! You should be glad as the mispronunciation might give you some plausible deniability down the road...as in, "Aren't you the guy who completely screwed up the "Blah, Blah"? Oh, no that was some other guy, his name was similar but pronounced differently!

Big Government : And The Prize for the Worst Economist Goes To ...

It is a rather bizarre scenario where people who are regularly not only incorrect but blatantly wrong are quoted repeatedly. For instance, reporters are still asking Alan Greenspan his opinion on the economy as if he had a clue!

Big Government : Calif. Attorney General Offers Incoherent, Troubling Answers When Asked About ACORN Doc Dump

Apparently, in California v. Greenwood the CA state supreme court found an expectation of privacy in your trash but the US Supreme Court overturned this ruling. Isn't Jerry Brown a lawyer -as Attn Gen shouldn't he know this stuff or at least have a clue? One can only hope that Californians learned their lesson LAST time he was Gov - but then he was elected to the Attn Gen position, so maybe not...

Big Hollywood : ABC's AMA Awards: Some 'Simulated Fellatio' For the Kids

Quite frankly, I found the stage show to be offensive but nowhere near as bad as the "music". The was truly one of the worst songs I have ever heard....and considering his apparent lack of talent only one thing left to do, SHOCK and APPALL! (at this moment I am listening to "The Man Who Sold The World" just got done with "Music From Big Pink" so, perhaps it is my taste that is dated?)

The corruption level in this organization that is Acorn is at such a high level and the dishonesty is so institutionalized they don't even realize any longer that they are doing anything wrong. Just another day scamming ol' Unca' Sam and anyone else stupid enough to buy this scam that is "Community Organizers". We now can see it is really dumbed down organized crime...

Big Hollywood : Stand Up Notes From Flyover Country: Boycotting the NFL

Funny thing, I came to the same conclusion a few years back but not because the NFL was bad, I just found a better product, NASCAR. Seriously, I never thought I would watch a car race but I have spent the last two years worth of Sundays and occasionally Saturday nights watching NASCAR Sprint Cup Races. It's good stuff, no kidding...

Big Hollywood : Why Does Will Ferrell Hoard His Money While Children Suffer?

I can only think of two "celebrities" that actually put their money and time and effort where their mouth is, Paul Newman who started "Newman's Own" foods and contributed over $250million dollars AFTER taxes to charities of his choice and Dick VanPatten who started "Natural Balance" pet food and contributes to domestic animal(pets) causes with his profits. Think about this, these two guys along with their families start for-profit companies selling great products and then pay taxes and then give the profits to those they consider deserving. Paul Newman was a great American, even if he was primarily an actor....

Big Hollywood : Elite Celebs Shill For MoveOn.Org, ObamaCare

I have never understood why the average person believes that celebrities, especially actors have any insight into public issues. Why would anyone listen and take at face value an opinion from someone whose life work is lying for a living. Think about it - actors are very good, very well paid liars. Their job is to lie that they are someone other than themselves, albeit briefly but their ability to do so readily should say something about their character (not the one they are pretending to be but their moral character).
