Is this an example of the old boy’s network in action?

Oppose democracy – not a problem,
Insult and betray your constituents – definitely not a problem.
Betray your party and the government – we can work with that.

Come on old boy we’ll give you a platform.

Did Boris get a better deal? Yes. Is it any good? No.

Fishing quotas have not changed and the EU still rules the waves.
The ECJ, still rules.
Regulatory alignment means the EU still rules.
Tax alignment means the EU will rule.
A level playing field means the EU will rule.
The military – our independent armed forces are being signed over to EU rules.

In fact, there is very little in this deal in which the EU will not rule over.

Boris, for all his showmanship, has sold us down the river.

If Boris thinks that May's deal in any way, shape or form would be acceptable; he is so out of touch it is untrue. Most of my family and friends who in general are natural Conservatives feel her deal is a disaster for this country. Taking out the backstop does not make it any better, indeed it will make him be seen as sly and underhanded. If he goes down this route then the Conservative Party will be ended as a political force for many years to come as very few will ever trust them again.

1)
Dominic Cummings best explained the timing when he said Labour have missed the bus.

When Parliament goes back after the Summer break Labour can push for a vote of no confidence which they may or may not win. However, if the Conservatives lose, they then call for a General Election after 31st October which means we come out of the EU by default. Once we are out Johnson has a good chance of winning the election.
2)
Is it a cliff Edge? Only by some definitions. The truth is we don’t know what will happen just as we don’t really know if we stayed in. Coming out on WTO terms is not the end of the world and if we plan properly, we can help to negate any bad outcomes.

However, if we stay in what do we do when the EU brings in direct taxation for everyone in the EU and please don’t say that is rubbish which will not happen. Guy Verhofstadt has already stated that this is what they want to bring in within they next few years. They are also stated that any veto’s which countries may have will be made void so there will be no opt outs. They are aiming for a United States of Europe with them in charge and I for one do not want that.

If Johnson goes for an election before Brexit is achieved he will lose and probably lose heavily. If he goes for an election after Brexit is achieved he is very likely to win and win heavily as he would be seen as someone who has ended this mess and kept his word which is something sadly lacking in today's politics.

Theresa May – I believed her when she said we would leave on the 29th March 2019 right up until Chequers and then the scales came off.

She said to the Remainer MPs “support me I’ve got your back” and she said to the Leave MPs, “support me I’ve got your back” and she said to the people “support me, I’ve got your back”.

People were commenting, well, she’s hard working, she’s dogged, she’s determined. No, she was showing that she was capable of lies, bullying, blackmail and betrayal.

Lies, bullying, blackmail and betrayal of the people she worked with and to the people of Great Britain.

Unless she goes, nothing will change.
