elephant journal: Yoga, Sustainability, Politics, Spirituality. : EVENT: Geeks go Green @startupweekend Boulder

I'm a fan of the Startup Weekends because of the "no talk, all action" premise. Most community events (in any field, I suppose) revolve around watching someone else talk about doing something - it's nice to meet a group of people and actually build something together.

Talk About Some Cool Stuff... : Startup Weekend Boulder - 2010

Tim and I met at SW Boulder last year - and we've stayed in touch ever since. And how cool is it to be able to say "Yeah, we met at Startup Weekend" - vs some of the more common responses (school, bar, etc).

Pescatarian indeed. Denver's a pretty veg friendly city too. There is a great veg restaurant not too far from where I live called Watercourse. There is also a new restaurant downtown that I haven't tried yet called Organixx. Boulder just has a long history of veggie/hippie/progressive vibe to it.

Talk About Some Cool Stuff... : Casual Meeting, or Invaluable Experience?

Nice post Tim. Gotta love Boulder and the openness of folks to meet and share. And as someone who qualifies leads for a living, the notion of a "sales funnel" is integral to to what we do - including for our email marketing efforts.

In No Particular Order: A Blog by Grant Grigorian : Denver Union Station

Denver is a car city. You can ride the light rail downtown, and there are buses - but it's mostly a low density, car city - even if you live downtown. I would say that when it comes to public transport, Boulder has a better system of busses/bike lanes, etc.

In No Particular Order: A Blog by Grant Grigorian : Simply Honey

Apparently it was impacted by the epidemic last year - went from 600+ colonies to 400+ and they've still working to restore the other colonies (I think currently at 500+)

Heather - I am sure he'll be happy to host you if you drove all the way up to Alamosa to visit! I'll ask him if he's still doing the farmer's market, and where else the honey is available.

The Devver Blog : Boulder CTO December Lunch with Tim Wolters

These are great notes! I liked the job description of the CTO and the dual nature of the work:: tactical vs visionary. I am also surprised at how much time is spent selling vs developing. If you add up time spent on Sales, Partnerships, Biz Dev Dealings, which are all different ways of selling - that's 90% of the time!
