These video certainly gave me the chills and very much would make anyone fear Islamic people. I feel that the religion itself is not to be completely at fault but just like any belief you have people that take it to the extreme. After September 11, 2001 many Americans feared terrorism and rightful should. This could happen anytime and anywhere and our government could not stop or prevent it. That idea is what I believe make people fear the most. The religion Islam is for the most part another religion to find their god and take the journey to reach him. Its people in power that brainwash lower class Middle Eastern in believe that destroying America is the way to reach god. You do not rich middle eastern that live a good and wealth life bomb building, bus, and other public place to reach god. Look any other belief, for example the neo Nazi today in America a power man goes after young kid with finical and family problem and tries to brainwash them into his belief about African Americans. In Catholics you have priest that are abuse young boy while trying to preach to you of how you reach god. I believe people in the Middle East are not all bad people but just like everything else are influence by someone and because of that it can become dangerous. The whole belief in Islam I believe is if you die serving your god you will reach their heaven. Someone in power took this idea and influences their people that destroying Americans as part of god mission. After I still believe terrorism will never end because one country will always hate other country and someone will take it to extreme measure. So the idea of Americans being afraid I completely agree cause even after this war is over, if it will ever end terrorism will still exist.

This video “The Cost of an Empire was extremely interesting, I believe that our government is not as evil as the media make it out to be. As many people know we are a free country and the life style people live in America most societies could only dream of. For Americans to live this way we have to spend money to protect ourselves because I do believe that if our military was not as powerful as it is we would be under attack by many more countries. Another thing about our government is that I do not believe we will ever get out of this war because it is not like most wars. There are always going to be terrorism and we are not fighting an army we are fight random people that believe in a cause and you cannot force people to change their beliefs. I know people thought Obama was going to come into office and end the war but the Middle East is in horrible conditions and it is mainly our fault. Obama could not just take out are troops and leave it like that because that would just leave more people over to hate America and maybe even cause more terrorism. We have been trying to rebuild the Middle East by training their army, building school, and providing basic needs for their people. On the other hand it did surprise me how many other countries we are actually in. I do certain country either want our help or we do need to be in but to spend hundred billon on base in other counties I do believe this is highly not need. Do you really believe our country would ever allow every country we have a base to have a base on United State soil. I think we need to be fair with every country and if they want our help or want a base in their country then that fine but I do believe it is not helping our cause in some countries. I know it is shocking that we spend that much on military but people can complain but until they are willing to give up their lifestyle then we need the military the way it is.

First of all, I do see some strong point in her speech but at the same time I believe that it is highly one sided. She is a very good speaker and does bring up some interesting ideas that might be able to help our society in new approaches to end war. I believe in this day of age women do have more say then she think, maybe not in other societies but in the United State I do believe they do. It might not be close to fifty percent but to negotiate peace and to stop a war you must have reason to started the war and I believe, not saying all but many women do not want that blood on their hand just like many man don’t want it either. They rather have someone else make the decision about going to war for them. Another reason why I see this as being one sided is because even though the stories she told were horrible each one had a man in it trying to just live and protect their family too. It is not just women who are suffering from war but men are too; just like it is not just men fight this war there are women soldiers along with women in office that were involved with the war. What I am trying to say is that a man could get up on stage and tell a bunch of story about horrible stories about men he know that went through a tragic experience during war but that’s not what is going to create peace. Instead we need to focus on the differences between societies and come to and understanding of each other and learn how to live with our differences. I do not believe that man or women make a difference on who can create peace because if it was that simple I pretty sure we would have figured that out by now and used it to create peace. After all most wars are about resources so until there no resources to fight over there will be war.

This video I just watch pretty much sum up what we having been talking about the last couple week in class. The way he talk, the way he expresses himself, the way he dresses, and the all the basic function a normal person should have in society. As a matter of fact if he was arguing for his gay parents I would of never of guess that he was raised by gay parents. Not only does he look and act just likes everyone in society that fits a perfect childhood. He has a bright future ahead of him graduate college at the top of his class owns his own small business. Now you cannot say after seeing his testimony that gay parent cannot raise a proper and successful young man or women. As he said in all his 19 years of live he has never met an individual that has known he was raised by gay couple because as he sees it his family is no different than any other family in the United State. He explains how they eat dinner go to church together and they have downs where they get into fight and goes through tough family problems. Going to Penn State with well over forty thousand people attending I am sure there are many students that are raised by gay parents. In my four year here I have not been able to tell one student that was different because he was raised by gay parents. In fact none of my friends have either (as we talked about it the other day) and I really don’t think you can tell. I believe what makes a person is not that he is raised by a man and a woman; it is the structure, the support, the love, the discipline, and help a person receive from his family and friend no matter what gender they are. As Zach say it is not going to affect his family because no matter what happen I family is a family and they are there for each other no matter what it is. I never really thought about this public issue but I do believe it would have a little if no effect on a person if he was raised by gay or straight parents.

This video is very funny because he is awkward and so cautious to use any words about his ass or his front and he pause every time he talks about it. I personal do not agree with the whole stereotype about how someone looks, does, or says makes him the whitest person, but even I will catch myself say wow that was really white. This is just another thing that people pick up because how our society acts. If you look at this in a sociology term you see a man talking about a Smart Carry holster which our society see as a white trait and his personality can seem also to be a whitey.
The first thing that he could be the reason he is whitest person ever is his awkwardness in the video. The way he say “when the last time someone look at your zipper” it seem a little off and awkward, he doesn’t have any confidence throughout the video. Another awkward monument is how he said do not worry about when pull down my by I have my running shorts on so everything will be fine. I think that is just simply funny no matter who say it, but most other nationality would simply consider them shorts. His cloths are also seen as be white in our society as black people wouldn’t tuck in their shirts maybe not weather their pants as high as he does. The all American white man is seen as wearing a white shirt tucked into light blue jeans, which he fits perfect in that description.
Most people also would not go out and buy a gun holster; most people would just tuck it into their jeans. The fact he went that far to go out and by a fifty dollar holster does not help his cause being called the whitest man. They both do the same thing just one cost fifty dollars more. He helps our society stereotype about being white. One thing I thought was something that there is no stereotype for is he the one thing he said about you could even wrestle your kids with it ha-ha. No matter what stereotype you fit in I don’t think wrestling you kids with a gun in your pants is ever a good idea.

This video is high unusually simply because in our culture people tend to see one man with many women being more acceptable rather than on woman with many men. I believe looking at this video in a sociological it can make perfect sense because you see in the United States how famous and rich people have many kid with a lot of different women. In a society like this one in India, the population would shy rock and India would be even more over populated. I believe when look at this one woman having a couple men as her husband is much more controllable then one man having many of women. I believe this because as a woman has a couple husband she still can only have a certain amount of babies, but when looking a one man with a couple of women the chance of that man have creating more children is highly likely. This also is different for each society because in our society a woman with a couple of guys would look bad but in somewhere like China or India it is a very smart idea to put into place. It is smart to put it in place in India because of the over population, this could help limit how many births there will be a year. Implementing this idea in China would also be important to help there society because after the “One Child Policy” there was an imbalance between how many young women and men there were. So put this into their society could be helpful because all the men that cannot find a spouse this idea of a couple of men having the same spouse look very attractive to him. This could cause a few problems like jealous and domestic violence but for the overall benefits of the society I believe it could be very helpful.

This video could certainly give parents a scare and help them make the decision to tell your children not to talk to stranger. As I was growing up my parents never really told me not to talk to stranger but even though they did not I heard it enough to think I was not supposed to talk to strangers. A true story about my life, when I was seven me and my little brother got lost at Disney World and when we first notice we were lost we just walked around did not ask anyone for help. Everyone tell me when I was younger not to talk to stranger was definitely in the back of my head. Until my little brother started to cry I notice that I had to ask someone for help. Right away that person did everything they could to help me out and to the front where they could contact my parents. This happens every day where a stranger helps out a child that is lost or simply just needs help from someone. But just like every other the media affects the way you think about things. The media did not do a story on how me and my little brother got lost and a complete stranger help us find my parents instead they only focus on the .01 of people that might kidnap your children. The media is the main factor of why parents are scared of these uncommon things. Media can take this kidnaping and make you believe that it very common and that there a good chance this could happen to your children when really it is most unlike to happen. I do not think that the media should not show these but I think they could maybe show parents that most people would be help. This way parents could teach their children to not talk to stranger for no reason but if they are in need of help to not hesitate to ask someone for help. They also could teach their child be wear of what is around them because I believe most kidnaping happen when children aren’t even talking to the stranger like in this video.

Valentine’s Day is a made up to for people to spend money on each for no reason at all. It is not a real holiday, it has nothing to do with your relationship you are in, and has no significant mean behind it. Now after saying that love is a wonderful thing but it the odds of you finding your love at first sight almost completely impossible. There are 6.8millon people and they are all over the earth so the fact that you will find you soul mat in this huge earth and the short time you are on it isn’t to promising haha. Instead people learn and grow to love someone. For high school sweet hearts it was not love at first sight instead they grow with each learned to depend on someone. They grow through their struggles, their good time and the intimate time they had together. When you found someone you like something about them and that’s what bring you together and from there comes love or the relationship ends. This issue about relationship is since as the same topic that we talked about students believing that everyone else in the school is has so much sex and that are not having enough. It is seen has a personal trouble but really is a public issue. In this issue it is that the personal trouble is that you think everyone is finding their soul mats or their true love but this is the case. Instead it is that everyone is always looking for their soul mat but will never find it and become satisfied with their love for the relationship that they are in. Then after that love grows stronger and stronger you believe that this is your soul mat or true and that it was love at first sight. In the song he say if you weren’t there somebody else would which I believe he mean that there are something controlling us to believe that once you fall in love that that person is put on this earth for you but really if they never where there you would believe that someone else was your soul mat.

In this video blog by Sam Richards it is hard to completely understand what he is trying to explain but if I believe what I think he is say it would for sure change the way I would live my life. If we all look at each other as brother and sister rather than another human being I believe it could make the world a better place for sure. I believe that we have learned everything from our passed for example we would not know if fire burned if it was not for someone putting their hand over a fire and seeing that it burns. Then they show their family that you should put your hand over a fire because it will burn your hand. So seeing how we feel and react to something because of how our society react to it is believable. I also believe we did come from evolution and that we came from two people the first man and the first women so I try to see have one as my brother and sister. This theory might change the way I live because I would stop live for myself and my actually blood related family instead I would be more concerned with how my family is doing maybe if Africa or somewhere else my family needs help. It would also change the way I act just day by day with how I judge people and see people. I do not judge my brother and sister at home I actually support them in everything they do. So if I believe what Sam Richards is saying in the video then we all could support everyone and what they believe in. I think this could be very helpful in all the social problems we have in our society because if people were not going around and judge people and there were no social image people would act very differently. With this theory we could change many of our social problems. One problem is just if we saw everyone as a brother and sister it would be weird to see people in an erotic way.

This video shows how each soldier is affected differently from the war. Even though all of our soldiers are better people after the war some go through dramatic stress and cannot live up to their full potential. This is something that the military has to deal with. Even after the war the policy "No Man Left Behind" should still be applied for our fellow soldiers. This should be applied because they risked their lives to keep are nation safe and free from harm for a larger portion of their life. Our soldiers go through a completely world different change when they go over sea and then return home after their tours are over. This change has to be extremely hard for the soldier to deal with the differences of the two societies. In the CNN report I agree with Gen. Colleen McGuire about the fact that we do need to reach out and get our soldiers to talk about these issue and go out and seek help before it is too late. It is like what we talk about in class if we were to talk about these social issue we could change a lot of wrong thing in our society and maybe even save many of our soldiers’ lives. In the open line of this interview “we are often more dangerous to ourselves then the enemy “this quote gives me the chills when I think that could be possible. It is not just suicide but our soldiers are coming home and are getting into high rick behavior because of the stress and things they dealt with oversea. In the one part of When Gen. McGuire is talk about they have 250 recommendations for the soldier to seek out for help; I believe this is a huge step for helping our soldiers. I believe many of the soldiers just do not know where to go to receive help. The last thing about these Interviews which our whole society has to help with is the idea of setting up programs to help our soldier make the transaction from being in the war to dealing with everyday society. These ideas I believe are all good ways to help our soldiers in the return home.
