Can we start some kind of movie yelling series about slumber party movies? Because I desperately need someone else to have seen Lisa, which I was only able to watch at my best friend's dad's house, because he would leave us totally unsupervised to go on dates with his new girlfriend. I had become half-convinced it was just a fever dream until I found it on IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100031/

When I was in college, I moved to a different dorm after a month due to many and various issues with my roommate. Because it was a month late, they were out of the loft beds for my particular dorm, so they gave me the loft bed for a different dorm, which had much higher ceilings. So I had about a foot between my bed and the ceiling. I spent the first month in my new dorm with a perpetual lump on my head from trying to sit up when my alarm went off, and my elbows were perpetually scraped from me rolling over in the night and hitting them on the ceiling. Never even attempted to have sex up there, because I could not see another person even being able to fit up there with me. Why would anyone pay to live, permanently, in that kind of situation?

Seriously, I have been really wanting, in some vague way, to start a business that provides capsule hotels in an airport, because, okay, I got here 3 freaking hours early to get through security, which took me like 15 minutes and now i have over two hours of time to kill and it's 5am, I'm exhausted, and I can't nod off because I must be aware of my bag at all times. Can I seriously just check into a capsule for a few hours so I don't have to worry about my bag getting stolen or me drooling all over myself while I'm trying to half nap sitting upright?

I am a big fan of all the public domain love on this site, but I think it would be great if you could link to the Project Gutenberg versions of these works. Most of them are on the site, and only have 20-60 downloads EVER. It's a great, legal non-profit source for public domain works and it's a shame more people don't know about it.

Have you checked your local library? Most do Interlibrary Loan for free or with minimal fees, so you can have a chance to read it/photocopy or note the good stuff. I do it all the time for weird out of print stuff.

I believe you can bump any drug that's a powder, cause it's just snorting a little bit.

It's meth, which can be pink. He actually says "doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break" later in the song. The entire song is about doing crystal meth, which is why teenage me was so amused this was such a popular song.

Oh and God forbid you ever leave the house without a "just in case" coat of an appropriate weight for how the weather *could* turn. I swear my father can still sense it, Spiderman-style, if I ever leave the house without a jacket. I live in the South, so it's currently still 100+ degrees out, and I still keep a sweater or hoodie stashed in my purse.

But doesn't her mom have like 500 children or something, and that's why Fanny is sent to live with the Bertrams? I would think that's good genetics to survive childbirth, myself.

And her children would all be beaten down, sad sacks who were afraid to do anything and thus earn their mother's stern look of disapproval.
