totalBarca : Video of the Day: 2011-12 Team presentation

I laughed at your post. Not because it's false but because it's so true. He could have been a quite good artist...well, for me he is an artist. Footballing and coaching artist. Honestly, I think so. Art, for me, isn't just music, pictures and films. I define it as doing something with so much passion that you're reaching the top of your profession with style and touch people by doing so. You see, for me Pep is an artist. Even if you restrict art to the common topics music, pictures and movies I can tell you: Pep is an artist! You implied Pep could make a good roman gladiator film... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Dhj7KsEyQ ..could?

totalBarca : The Goals: FC Barcelona 3-2 Real Madrid

I really see it as something serious. Very serious. I just visited the sport section of 4chan.org. I showed them the video. People said "Wow, I love Mourinho, he's my hero, he doesn't care." They weren't ashamed. They were proud. They loved him even more because they saw how less he cares about other human beings. I feel physically very weak right now because I'm emotionally very disturbed. It just hit me in the face what's wrong with the world. It's not that people don't know how to stop bad things. It's not that people try but don't succeed in stoping bad things. No. People amuse themselves if they see other's getting hurt. If they can't feel good then they feel better if other's feel worse. Mourinho is a role modle because he doesn't care. Imagine what happens if this philosophy is getting more and more popular: Not caring about anything but oneself is the new goal to achieve. I see it in Europe. I see it in the world. People are getting more and more egoistic. It's cool to achieve and increase power no matter what happens to other human beings. Mourinho and his fanbase are just a symptom of a sick bifurcation humanity takes. Today Barca won. Today a good football style won. But... Today I also realized why human kind(ness) will lose.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoxiDvJ2EYU Pepe is sick and Mourinho made him wilder. This is not football anymore is this dirty war. The English commentators just discussed very dry how long it will take until a Madrid player ends the career of a barca player. How can people support that? This is sick. I'm disgusted. Honestly, in my oppionon Mourinho is a criminal. People who think Mourinho is cool because he doesn't care about other people...I think such people would also think that the Mafia is cool because they do what they want. >Hey, they might destroy the health of others but at least they are rich and don't give a shit. Really, I have no problem if you suport a FC I personally don't like very much. I have no problem if people say Mourinho is a "successfull" (for me not exactly the same as "good") coach. But please - don't try to be like him. The world is already in a bad shape.

totalBarca : Guardiola: "We must play a great game to take the title"

In 2000 after Cecs' parents divorced, he was depressed and not focused in football. As a result of this, his youth coach approached Cesc's idol, Barcelonas #4, Pep Guardiola. The player decided to meet the young kid, and to lift his spirits, he gave him a signed shirt. The shirt reads "For Francesc Fabregas, hoping to see you in a few years with the number 4 at the Camp Nou. good luck! Pep Guardiola" http://tinyurl.com/43onrjp Grande Guardiola!

I think Barcelona is still in Mourinho's heart. He is obsessed with Barca. He said Real Madrid is his biggest challenge in his career. It is not. Barca is. That's why he acts so crazy. Look at the pictures of him in spring 2011 and compare them to pictures one year before. He looks exhausted and frustrated. He is like a sick and wounded animal. Bites and scratches everything that comes near him (referees, Valdano, unicef) in the frantic try to protect himself against another strike from his most feared enemy - FUTBOL CLUB BARCELONA !

totalBarca : Michel Platini talks to Marca

Barcelona plays beautiful and wins. Platini: "There is justice in football." Platini: "Barça play football. It is a culture of good football. There are others who must learn to play like Spain and Barcelona, not the other way round." Platini: "Each generation has their best player ever. But I do not like to compare players with each other." Everything I quoted are exactly my thoughts spoken out by Platini. @Messi GOAT I don't think that there is "the" best player of all time. I think there are the Five Greats and Messi will make them the Six Greats. I also would've liked to see Xavi winning it because for me he is the personification of Barca's playing style and values but the simple truth is that it's an individual award (not an award for the most important player of the team that won the most important team title of the year) and that from that point of view Messi fully deserved it. In hindsight I'm actually happy that he won it because he's gonna be the first and only player to win it three times in a row. Be honest - who else will win it this year? Messi won in a WC year without winning the WC nor the CL. This year he won the CL. I'll eat my left leg if Messi won't win it this year.

Of course they do. They want their former players to win trophys..whole trophys. Btw I think it is very good that Barca looks for strikers AND defenders. I was afraid the last part would be missed. I'm also very happy that we have Thiago. It will make fabregas cheaper (we can argue we don't need him that much - which is true). I still think we don't really need Fabregas, but I'm happy that if we buy him, he'll be cheaper than expected.

totalBarca : Laporta: "Barça have the best team in the world"

It is Rosell who has the connection to many Brazilan footballers and I think it is some kind of Nike connection. Obviously it was under Laporta's presidency that Ronaldinho came. Laporta vs. Rosell - both have pros and cons I like Laporta as a person very much. Watch the video when he is hugging Guardiola at the 2009 CL final celebration, how he dances to the music at the triple celebration at Camp Nou. Under Laporta Barca had the biggest success in his history. Mainly because of his actions (listening to Cruyff and taking the back then high risk of making Pep coach). From the character side of view and the sporting side of view I prefer Laporta. The financial side of view wasn't that good. When Rosell took over the club the financal situation was even worse than expected. Many people criticise Rosell because he made it harder becoming a socio and I also think it is very bad. But Laporta didn't tell the socios how high the debts are. Isn't that disrespectful against the socios either? Many people criticised Rosell for not making Cruyff honoury president. But he just said the socios have to decide. Yeah, in reality it was just a fight between Laporta and Rosell. But at least his official argumentation was a good sign. Isn't that what Cruyff always said? The club over every single person? Socios=the club, the club owners. Cruyff is a single (very important) person. But not more important than the club. It's just okay if the socios should decide. Although I'm unhappy that they didn't made him honour president. He would've deserved it. Now more about Rosell. Rosell isn't that sympathic to me. But I don't think that's because his character may be worse than Laporta's (I don't think so!) but because he seems a little bit more introverted. To me he is more nerdy than Laporta ;) Also if there is sporting success under his presidency I always will have the feeling that this is mainly (not only, remember Rosell had the connection to Ronaldinho and at first Laporta wanted Beckham and just took Ronaldinho because Beckham went to Madrid. If you listen to this today it sounds really strange. Ronaldinho second choice after Beckham, lol) because under Laportas presidency this cyclus started. What I really honour about Rosell may be the reason most people don't like him. He is looking at the finances. No, I don't want Barca to have a sponsor. I'd prefer UNICEF or an empty trikot. But Rosell knew Barca had big debts. And they were even higher than expected. Look at the italian clubs. Do you see what's going on? Serie A is dying and the main reason are the high debts. Same can happen to England and Spain - especially Spain since the economy isn't that good right now. Spain can be very, very, very happy if the economy stays the (bad) way it is - and doesn't get worse. I think the main problem of our generation (I'm 22) is suffering from the high debts our parents and grandparents left us. I like Barcelona becuse of the way they play but I love Barcelona because their values are an example for humanity. Now if Barca shows the world that making vastly debts and then asking the hometwon (so in fact all tax payers, the youths who hardly find a job, everyone!) to buy your stadium and rent it back cheaper like Madrid does, isn't right, then maybe that may help making the world a better place. I repeat, the main problem our generation will have is the great debt burden. I'm happy that Barca is aware of that problem. I also repeat it again: I like Barcelona because of the way they play. I love Barcelona because of their values. I like both presidents because everybody does his best for the club. One from the sporting side of view, one from the financial side of view. Both things are important. Both presidents do what they think is the best for the club. The club benefits from both.
