Not as huge as some of the above, but: Studying for the bar, six months of unemployment/living at home, moving back to a city where suddenly I didn't know anyone anymore, leaving the Mormon church.

I had a spot like this too, but my place was on top of the heating vent in the corner with a blanket. (What can I say, I was very indoorsy.) But it was the same, and The Toast is that warm cozy corner of the internet for me.

Oh man, I'm having trouble accepting that the rest of the internet is not like The Toast. I read Madame Clairvoyant's (amazing) new horoscopes on The Cut. When I went down to the comments to revel in the positive vibes, all there was was people bitching about the lack of gifs. Seriously. I love everything about The Toast but *Dorothy voice* I think I'll miss you most of all, commentariat.

So many significant looks. And many of them were in the rain, which I greatly appreciated.

The soundtrack is so gorgeous!!!

Right?! But he wasn't a dick about the unrequited love, which was my favorite. Just so good. (And that really is the only reasonable explanation for her ever wanting him to leave.)

Far From the Madding Crowd is so wonderful. Gabriel is ridiculously fantastic (when I saw it in theaters, the girls next to me literally squealed when he was so happy getting his dog back, and it was totally called for),and Carey Mulligan is always amazing. And yeah,Boldwood was way more sympathetic in the movie than the book, and Michael Sheen being fantastic has a lot to do with that.

Good luck on the job front, job hunting is the absolute worst. And I'm so jealous about the Belle and Sebastian concert! I hope it was fantastic.
