Good for Hillsboro. Good for Portland for having a successful (albeit no so winning) of a soccer team.

Both cities should be proud. Those of you that hate, need to find some happiness. I'm in Portland but I'll definitely try to make a couple games in HB.

The military is made up of humans. Humans who breastfeed. I see the picture as confirmation that we as Americans must think long and hard before sending troops into harms way. Though, I do understand the military rules against supporting organizations in uniform.

That, and I'm perfectly find with breastfeeding in public.

As an American, formerly known as a Syrian, it disgusts me to see the atrocities committed there, whomever they are committed by but both sides are to blame. We have an Islamic revolution disguised as a democratic revolution taking place. Nothing good will come of this. Any real hope for democracy left the country decades ago. Syria, a beautiful place, has very little hope and honestly, as terrible as Assad is, his regime was holding it together from becoming an Islamic stronghold.

Sending troops will only worsen this situation.

So you are taking the words of one small group, who claim to be liberals, and generalizing all liberals to be the same?

What about the extreme Christian right such as Pat Robertson who claim to be conservative Republicans? Should I assume all Republicans think and act like Pat Robertson.

I, for one, would like to see these 4 put into a small locked cage with 20 vicious (unfortunately because they were raised improperly) pit bulls. Then the breed can have some payback time. But, I know, I'm a liberal so I can't possibly be saying that.

You know, same laws apply in the burbs. Bike lane? Look over your shoulder and check your mirrors and yield for any bikes going straight. Simple as that.

Bike lanes have always been like this, green box or not. When there is a bike line, you simply need to check your mirror and look over your shoulder, as if you were changing a lane. See a bike? Yield. No bike? Go.

1) You choose to work in Portland. You choose to live in the Portland Metro. Keep that in mind. If you don't want to deal with coming into Portland, you have the ability co change that. If you can't see Portland for the many positivies it has and can only think of it as a freak-town, it may be time to reconsider your live/work situation.
2) Actually, No one is shoving anything. If LO decides against it, they can block it. It's your town. On and LO is part of the Metro govt
3) You blame Occupy Oswego Lake on Occupy Portland? What about Occupy Some Small Town, WY, where there are hundreds of such occupy movements. What big city do they have to blame it on? Those movements are happening everywhere. Yes, even in your prestigious little (and I might add, beautiful) town.

Because educated, well thought out responses are frowned upon. People prefer to make up their own facts and hate using any type of rational reasoning, logic or common sense.

Steve, with all due respect, you are in L.O. Concern yourself with the problems there.

Besides, Portland has attracted quite a few new businesses as of late and has excellent programs to foster small busineses and entrepreneurs. Being a resident of the city and a small business owner, I'm well aware of that.
