I was at work about 70 miles away that day, and I received a call from my son telling me that they took his lunch money for that day but didn't serve him. I called the district and they told me they applied it to his account, but since it was behind they wouldn't serve him. I explained that I was too far away that day to be able to take care of the situation right away, but if they would serve my kids then I would send the needed money the next day. They refused and my kids didn't get a lunch. Guess I should have called the news or something. I can't believe that anyone would let a kid go hungry.
