However, swimming, surfing, and wading in the ocean seems like it may become VERY dangerous!! There is going to be lots of stuff to small to see coming, but could cause serious injury if it slams into you while in the surf...
Seems like they should start posting caution signs...

is smoking a crime? is playing video games a crime? how do you or i know that he wasnt doing these when the kids were in the living room with alayna? maybe the kids were in bed and he was playing the video games?
maybe he was smoking when alayna was watching movies in the front room with alayna and the other boys?
How do you know what was going on?
has the media ever been wrong? have you never seen the media edit out some details, or do they give all the unbiased facts?

They were not guilty... Just because the jury you were on had that issue, does not mean every jury does...
There was really no question about it..
With JC it was 12 for not guilty on first vote.
With Alayna it was 11-1 for not guilty on first vote, and after minimal discussion, 12 for not guilty...
I was just like most on here when the trial started. I saw the picture of the two boys behind this so called "cage" and was horrified!! But after hearing ALL THE FACTS and seeing the entire room, hearing testimony from all witness, and the states EXPERT witnesses, I saw things much differently, as did 11 OTHER PEOPLE, most of whom started out just as horrified as I was.
Seeing all the evidence, and not just what little bit is shown on the news, can make a huge difference...

But since you have no clue about this couple and what went on or what ACTUALLY happened, then I don't think you are able to intelligently comment to whether or not they did anything wrong...
If they had indeed "CAGED" the children, then I would be right there with you on calling for some serious jail time...
Do you have kids? Have you ever used a playpen? Or put babies in a room with a baby gate?
Did you know that for all but 1.5 WEEKS of all this stuff they are accused of, that the kids were in the room behind a baby gate?
Did you know the wire door only went up 1. 5 WEEKS before the kids were taken away? And that then it was only because the kids were escaping and tearing up the house at night when the parents were in bed?
Did you know that the kids were ONLY kept behind the wire door at bedtime and when there was only one parent home that needed to do something so they weren't able to keep an eye on both these boys? like alayna home alone and having to breast feed or take a shower?
