"And yet you still have no real solution to offer? That is soooo Republican of you." yes I do have a solution. Its called impeachment. Its called sending bankers to jail. Its called electing third party candidates. Of course mentioning that would only only get myself called a tin hat wearing kinda guy wouldn't it. BTW,. I do not align myself with parties. I align myself with being a conservative which was the entire point of the post.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Cantwell: With retirements looming, who will build Boeing\'s planes? | Boeing | Seattle News, Weathe

I imagine you would be a great teacher. Both my parents and older sister were teachers at one time, as well as a younger sister currently working as a teacher. While the money is rarely good they all adore their jobs, and there is always something to say about that. In truth, I know several person working for Boeing, and while the pay is great, they all hate it there. I think you chose wisely. Besides with your military pension you have more choices in life.

"Maybe if Boeing's HR pulled their heads out and actually looked at resumes, they'd have some qualified people. Good luck with that. " Your only one of but literally thousands of qualified, overqualified and experienced applicants alike.. Just because your not getting hired doesn't mean your not worthy. But the employer has to draw the line somewhere. I once applied for a meter reading job for the city of Everett years ago. I applied on the last day they were accepting resumes and there was a stack of applicants nearly two feet high. Odds of me getting hired? Point Zero percent NOTHING! Unless your really sold on working for Boeing, my advice after a hundred resumes is to try another business and forget about them. Dont give up. There is something out there meant for you.

One year you frown against the Republicans and run to the other side. The next year you run back to the Republicans, but both parties are exactly the same. They both take us further in debt, they both support wars, they both support giving up your rights. THEY ARE THE SAME PEOPLE, supporting nearly exactly the same policies. WHY can't you guys see we are nothing more than a ping pong ball, stuck in the middle of a sick game?

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Gunmen attack church camp-out in Mexico, rape 7 | National & World News | Seattle News, Weather, Spo

"I care about the root cause of the problem. Without the money generated by illegal activities, the root cause would die out. Armed gangs such as that would soon cease to exist. It beats trying to fight violence with violence, or blaming everything on illegal aliens. What's your idea? " While I question whether legalizing drugs would really curb violence at least within our own border, I can promise it will have little affect in Mexico, nor any other Latin country. Between Kidnappings (hold wealthy or middle class for ransom) or engaging with the sex trade or weapons, they have plenty to keep themselves busy.

"The Kent Fire Department will get four new firefighters, thanks to a Department of Homeland Security grant that will help outfit, train and pay for the new staff." While I don't have a problem with getting a few more fire fighters, having Homeland Security pay for it is clearly a way of getting the average bozo to overlook Homeland Security for what they really are and welcome them with open arms.

"You forgot the </sarcasm> tag at the end - some people may have thought you were serious... " Of course she was serious. And she isn't wrong. Makes me sick too. Isn't it enough we take over the world with our bridges and buildings and mass polluting cars, factories and the lot? Then we CLAIM to want to protect the wildlife by deeming millions of acres as National forest land or wild life refuges. Then we hike around in those same areas and when we feel threatened, we simply blow away anything that moves. Its a complete Joke..

"She said the bear charged at her several times, including once after it tried to attack her dog" I've got news. If the bear really wanted to attack the dog, there would be no trying. As to the woman and kids being terrorized, lets look at this from the perspective of the bear. YOUR invading ITS SPACE. Most animals are far more afraid of you. The bear was trying to protect itself from you.

f"ellas like you wanted it. " So either you regularly follow my threads, or your guessing as to know how I want things. Either way, being a conservative doesn't make someone (an oil burning, support only big business, all I care about is money) sort of person. Being conservative is about being responsible. Responsible with money, with how you run things, long before you get to the point of shipping off expired medication out in the field. If big pharmacies weren't riding in government pockets, costs wouldn't expire out of control, which is what caused all of this in the first place. Others here are completely right. This country is quickly resembling that of a third world nation. Oh and by the way, Every third world nation is pretty much a socialist run gimmick., so we can easily see what a joke any sort of socialism (AKA Welfare) really is.

"If a current drug was not available, I would absolutely want to try the expired one rather than just die. If they can't get it they can't get it. I have a child with a dangerous medical condition. One of her emergency meds was really hard to get for a while. You better believe we saved the expired stuff just in case she needed it and there was no other alternative." I was agreeing with you. However Medications expire for a reason, and its not just liability. Some medications actually do become worthless after awhile. While nobody is blaming EMS, I do blame the government (FDA for example) and big pharmacies for causing such turmoil in the first place. And as others have stated, These things normally occur in third world nations, not in a country who still has the strongest economic engine in the world (Yes still bigger than China believe it or not)

Well one fact about third world nations. They are filled with billions of dollars in profits. Its just that only the smallest percentage ever sees it. And Corporations run the countries. Those governments are always a third wheel next to cartels, drug traffickers, gangs and the like. The United States is slowly but surely resembling such places.

I'm not sure I see this as startling news.. We are surrounded by China in this country. Walmarts in every corner. Hood River OR for example (about 7000 people) even has a Walmart, and they need real jobs just like anybody. Walmart just like home depot and lowes kills small business. You know, that very foundation of America? With the help of Congress, Big Corporations have purposefully and systematically shipped this work force overseas one piece at a time so that we somehow wouldn't notice. Now all of a sudden the Olympics swing by and its flag waving time again? Congress needs to get a clue. YOUR GUILTY AS CHARGED GUYS AND WE THE PEOPLE KNOW IT. Stop blaming this on the OLYMPIC committee and the Chinese and look in the mirror as to what YOU have done to this nation of ours. Also as the article states, this is one of the only countries where Olympic athletes are privately funded. If congress cared so much about what they wore, why not spend our tax dollars to buy them American clothes? After all if you can ship off trillions of dollars to broken foreign banks to save the world so to speak, you can spit out a few thousand dollars in uniforms to support our athletes once every four years.

Sorry, but I'm not sure where your getting your facts from. in the 70s and 80s (when the dollar had some value) my cousins owned the second largest wheat ranch in Montana. You could litterally drive for an hour or more and still come across their property. They never made millions. They never made hundreds of thousands of dollars. The overhead to run such an operation kills the bottom line which is why they were eventually forced to sell. Trust me, if they were making anywhere near that kind of money they would be filthy rich. They are not. They started out and ended up nothing more than typical hard working middle class Americans.
