World In Conversation : How much government do we need?

Would I want the federal government to say I could not eat a Big Mac? Christ no. Even if the unhealthy decisions of millions of others were to cost a substantial amount I still would not change my position Perhaps the government has a obligation to forbid the sale of Big Macs to protect the material wealth of its citizens, something I belie is protected by the constitution. I think the real question here is why the United States does not adopt the French style health care system. In France everyone can drink and smoke as much as they want (which they do) secure in the knowledge that they will have medical attention when their bad habits catch up to them. This would make many think that the French spend a ridiculously large amount on health care and that they all die young. This is untrue the French have a longer life experience and roughly the same as Americans do on health care. One reason this system is not adopted is fear of the welfare state which stems from the prods tent work ethic.

World In Conversation : This is totally off the hook

The reason that games such as this exist is purely cultural. Japan, despite producing such fantastical, and gruesome pornography, is a sexual repressed nation. The reasons for this spring from such ancient sources as their former caste system but mainly come from more modern sources. The main reason is Japans operate culture. This has created the need that these people feel for a good job and excellence in most respects. However these are goals that people rarely live up to. Therefore many view themselves as failures and outcasts in society This repression and devotion of time and reneger to careers has left the population sexual repressed. Japan has a sizable number of persons proceeding middle age who are virgins. And in response industry has created a market for them. They can buy publications dealing with finding a mate at there advancing age and meet with others like themselves. Also there are many who have no luck in these circles and drift into disturbing behavior. There is a slam yet sizable population of men in Japan who create “girlfriends” out of inanimate objects, such as body pillows, sex dolls or mannequins A market for these men has been created and it is very much akin to the market that sells rape games.

World In Conversation : The Other Side of Life

Everyone learns from their mistakes as they grow older, and what they learn helps them in the future. It took this man 36 years to understand how important one life could be to many others. At 15 years old he did not understand that he was not just ending one life, but impacting many more. While most of society makes these realizations about the importance of life before doing something drastic, this man committed murder at a young age. His punishment was to reflect on his crime, and now he understands. Sadly, understanding the importance of life could have only helped him in the outside world before he went to jail. Now he can only think about the importance of life instead of applying it to help others. His understanding of his crime and coming to terms with himself is what he has to do to deal with the rest of his life in jail. He had to learn to feel remorse and guilt help himself in his future in jail.
