Commentary Magazine : Yes, They Played Politics on Libya

Keyword is "senseless." In the fourth paragraph of his Rose Garden speech on 9/12, Obama characterizes the murder of our ambassador and three other Americans as a "type of senseless violence." John Wilkes Booth's assassination of President Lincoln was not "senseless violence," was it? Lee Harvey Oswald's assassination of President Kennedy was not "senseless violence," was it? Look up the word, "mindless" and you will find the definition, "without discernible meaning or purpose" along with these synonyms: pointless, futile, useless, needless, unavailing, in vain, purposeless, meaningless, unprofitable; absurd, foolish, insane, stupid, idiotic, ridiculous, ludicrous, mindless, illogical. People stampeding Best Buy on Black Friday is "mindless violence." The premeditated and sustained and coordinated attack on the Libyan Consulate and the deliberate murder of these Americans by members of an Al Qaeda-linked group on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 was ANYTHING BUT "senseless violence"! It was carried out by terrorists whose act of terrorism had a point, purpose, meaning, etc. This was not the result of a mindless mob mentality that got out of control because religious sensitivities were offended by a YouTube video clip, which was the deceptive narrative of the Obama Administration from day one. I call BS on BO! "Senseless violence" my @ss!

Breitbart.com : Pelosi: Health care \'public option\' needs new name

Calling the public option in PelosoiObamaReidCare (PORC) by any other name is just putting pink lipstick on a fraudulent, flatulent, and frighteningly fascist pig of a plan that threatens to violate the rights of patients, doctors, business owners, and insurers on a massive scale. This massive dose of statism in medicine would induce grave waves of arrhythmia - higher costs, higher taxes, inflation, price controls, lower quality, doctor shortages, waiting periods, and rationing. These disturbances would become so emotionally distressing to the American people that Alinsky-inspired statists — opportunists that they are — would be able to exploit each new “health care crisis” as another opportunity to inject another dose of statism into the system. Call Congress NOW and tell them to oppose this War of Choice on Choice in Medicine.
Coming to America: "The Taking of You" Obama, the former constitutional instructor at University of Chicago, will chew on a few breath mints -- perhaps a combination of "Euromint" and "Frisk" would be the magic elixir -- to help him breath new constitutional life into the Fifth Amendment. Obama will start the process of stacking the Supreme Court with liberal fascists. Eric "The Law Unto Himself" Holder will personally argue before the Court that, because the Constitution is now officially a living, breathing document, the Eminent Domain clause can be injected with a breath of fresh fascist air and thereby stretched to include not just property, but the human body as well. He will quote Obama's 1996 keynote adddersss at the Democratic National Convention: "It's that fundamental belief -- I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper -- that makes this country work. It's what allows us to pursue our individual dreams, yet still come together as a single American family. 'E pluribus unum.' Out of many, one." The government has an inherent interest in individuals having healthy bodies, he argues, because individuals have the public use and public purpose of yielding more tax revenues -- individuals who are healthy are better at being their brother's keeper and their sister's keeper. Under the "takings clause," the Court will rule that that the government can legitimately claim ownership of people, their bodies, and, of course, their health. Justice Sotomayor, in her unfathomable, and now constitutionally unpardonable, Latina-feminist wisdom, will write a "one sentence" opinion for the majority: "Our decision goes without saying." (This manner of rendering Supreme Court decisions will establish a new "green precedent," justified by the need to save taxpayers the cost of ink and paper that were previously spent on those oh-so-yesterday, oh-so-wordy opinions.) We will be literally and figuratively taken. Tom "The Body Snatcher" Daschle will then be appointed "Health Enforcement Czar" with the patriotic mission of "leveling the health care playing field" and "spreading the health around." Joe "The Plagiarizer" Biden will call on us to adhere to our “patriotic duty” to pay taxes--with the exception, of course, of families making less than $250,000, who are absolved of the duty to be patriotic, and are encouraged to plunder the wealth of the patriotic producers. Panels of health czars ("Useful Lifers") will calculate our useful half-lives. Panels of spiritual czars will be appointed to help us find this new meaning in life: A half-assed, half-life ain't half bad (compared to the alternative if you disagree).
Big Hollywood : 9/12: The Revolution Has Begun

I like the expressions used here: "Constitutionalists" and "Pro-Constitution." I think they capture what should be the common denominator of this revolution much better than other expressions being used. Americans on Saturday in fact rallied around the Constitution to show Washington politicians and the rest of the country that we care about our liberty, our economic security, our national security, our system of justice -- and, yes, our constitution! Americans are not stupid. We have been connecting the dots and see an emerging pattern of liberal fascism in this country (and, also, I dare say here, "conservative fascism" in the form of "me-too" welfare statism and corrupt corporate cronyism). As the trio of bombastic bombardiers -- Obama, Pelosi, and Reid -- continue dropping wave after wave of incendiary bombs of liberal fascism in the finance, transportation, energy, and health care sectors of the economy, we find ourselves encircled by the red flames of a Dresden-like attack on our unalienable rights to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. Americans are finally recognizing that these bombastic bombardiers and their sycophants in the left-leaning media are hell-bent on imposing their unjust system of "social justice" on America with reckless disregard of the adverse consequences for our liberty, economic security, national security, and system of justice. And, like a tag team of used car salesmen, these liberal leaders are creating a false sense of urgency so they can sell us on their fascist programs before any effective sales resistance can be mounted by Conservatives, Libertarians, Independents, Moderates, and -- yes -- Constitutionalists. But Americans on Saturday openly pushed back against this loss of liberty. Americans are witnessing the wreckage caused by the government’s fascist efforts to control every area of our lives: The loss of our home values, foreclosures, bankruptcies, frozen credit lines, the loss of savings for our retirement, the loss of savings for our children’s college education, rising unemployment, exploding deficits, mounting debt, problems at Freddie and Fannie, looming insolvencies in Medicare and Social Security, the duel threat of hyperinflation and higher interest rate to tame it, and, last but not least, our nation’s rapidly declining creditworthiness. But Americans on Saturday openly pushed back against this loss of economic security. Americans are just beginning to understand that our nation’s mounting debt and rapidly declining creditworthiness will hand our national security to China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and other not so friendly countries when push comes to shove in a future national security crisis. Americans’ confidence in the Administration's ability to protect our national security has been further undermined by Obama’s apology tour, Holder’s siege on the CIA, and the Orwellian language of denial, “Overseas Contingency Operation.” But Americans on Saturday openly pushed back against this loss of national security. Americans see the destruction of the American Dream as this country is being molded to conform to the Marxist maxim, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." The top 50% of wage earners pay over 97% of federal income taxes, and -- to make matters worse -- if this country's collectivist crew of cronies in Congress have their way, the unfairness of this progressive taxation will only get worse as these liberals let Bush's tax cuts expire, impose a surtax on the wealthy, and force business owners to pay for their employees’ health insurance. But Americans on Saturday openly pushed back against the injustice of this “social justice.” Yes, Americans are red hot -- yes, some of us are mad as hell -- and, yes, we are refusing to be herded together and blindly rushed to take a leftist-led, lemming-like leap into the sordid sea of statism. So this is what Obama really meant when he promised a "transformation" of our country: liberal fascism. This is un-American. This is unfair. This is immoral. And, yes, this is unconstitutional. Americans must rally around the Constitution and continue to push back until this march toward collectivism comes to a full stop. Our future course must be guided by the philosophy of individualism and the principle of individual rights that inspired the Constitution -- the theory that individuals are ends-in-themselves; that we have the right to exist for our own sake; that no one has the right to force anyone to live for the sake of others; that we have the right to be left alone to pursue our own ends in life as long as we don’t infringe on the liberty of others to do the same; that the proper role of government is to protect our rights by legislating, adjudicating, and enforcing laws that prohibit other individuals or groups, foreign and domestic — and all levels of government -- from initiating force against us.
Someone asked me: "Under what provision of the Constitution does the government have the right and/or responsibility to provide health care in any way, shape, or form?" Here's my answer: Obama, the former constitutional instructor at University of Chicago, will chew on a few breath mints--perhaps a combination of Euromint and Frisk would be the magic elixir--to help him breath new constitutional life into the Fifth Amendment. Obama will start the process of stacking the Supreme Court with fascists.

10 Stubborn Facts That Make Americans Stubbornly Reject PORC (PelosiObamaReidCare): Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine (http://www.doctorsonstrike.com) cites H.R. 3200 with 10 violations of our rights: 1. Forcing people to buy health insurance. 2. Forcing employers to provide health insurance for employees. 3. Forcing one group (wealthy, soda-drinkers, etc.) to pay for the health insurance of another group. 4. Forcing future generations to pay for the healthcare of the present generation. 5. Forcing patients to participate in a government-run plan. 6. Forcing doctors to participate in a government-run plan. 7. Forcing hospitals and other healthcare providers to participate in a government-run plan. 8. Forcing insurance companies to compete with a government-run plan. 9. Forcing insurance companies to write policies that offer coverage for specific conditions. 10. Forcing one group (older Americans on Medicare) to accept reduced benefits in order to fund other public health care plans. Americans are not stupid. We realize that we must act now to bring a halt to this leftist-led, lemming-like leap into health care he!l. Well, we are mad as he!l, and we are not going to take it anymore! The politicians are turning a deaf ear to us so we need to crank up the volume until they get the message: Earth to politicians: Health care is not a right, doctors are not your slaves, businesses are not your banks, the wealthy are not your wet nurses, and patients are not your pawns.
Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : News From You

What a great link you provided at the top of this page! http://www.congress.org/congressorg/dbq/media/ I used it to send the following letter to the national media and local media in Jacksonville, Florida: The various health-care reform bills brewing in Congress, dubbed "PelosiObamaReidCare," threaten to violate our rights on a massive scale unprecedented in our country's history. America was founded on philosophy that you are an end-in-yourself, you have the right to exist for your own sake, no one has the right to force you to live for the sake of others, you have the right to be left alone to pursue your own ends in life as long as you do not infringe on the liberty of others to do the same, and the proper role of government is to protect your rights. Search long and hard, but you won't find any "right" to health care in our founding documents. A "right" to health care requires that some (the wealthy, business owners, health-care providers) be forced to serve the health-care needs of others. This follows the Marxist doctrine: From each according to their ability, to each according to their need. The use of government power to force individuals in group A to serve the health-care needs of individuals in group B is a violation of the rights of individuals in group A. This is immoral and unconstitutional. Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine (http://www.doctorsonstrike.com) urges the American people to send the following message to their elected officials: "Earth to politicians: Health care is not a right, doctors are not your slaves, businesses are not your banks, the wealthy are not your wet nurses, and patients are not your pawns." Dr. Gregory Garamoni Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine http://www.doctorsonstrike.com

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead

(Excerpts from today's press release at http://www.doctorsonstrike.com) Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine today issued an "Inalienable Rights Infringement Statement" on the health care bills now brewing in Washington, finding 10 violations of the individual rights recognized in The Declaration of Independence. The IRIS, posted on the homepage of Doctors on Strike's website at http://www.doctorsonstrike.com, cites PORC for the following 10 violations of individual rights: 1. Forcing people to buy health insurance. 2. Forcing employers to provide health insurance for employees. 3. Forcing one group (wealthy, soda-drinkers, etc.) to pay for the health insurance of another group. 4. Forcing future generations to pay for the healthcare of the present generation. 5. Forcing insurance companies to write policies that offer coverage for specific conditions. 10. Forcing one group (older Americans on Medicare) to accept reduced benefits in order to fund other public health care plans. Dr. Garamoni said, "PORC's unprecedented intrusiveness into the doctor-patient relationship and other aspects of our health care would violate our rights on a massive scale unknown in the history of America." Dr. Garamoni said people need to send the following message to our elected officials: "Earth to politicians: Healthcare is not a right, doctors are not your slaves, businesses are not your banks, the wealthy are not your wet nurses, and patients are not your pawns."

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : News From You

I am thrilled to see that Florida legislators (including our guy, Doc Renuart) have proposed a STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO THWART SOCIALIZED MEDICINE! GET THIS GOING IN YOUR STATE TO PROVIDE A FIREWALL AGAINST MARXIST MEDICINE! A short news story is here at http://hosted.ap.org/... The actual resolution (HJR 37- Health Care Services) is posted at http://www.myfloridah... _______________ HJR 37- Health Care Services JOINT RESOLUTION by Plakon (CO-SPONSORS) Carroll; Dorworth; Drake; Ford; Hays; Hudson; O'Toole; Precourt; Renuart Health Care Services: Proposes creation of s. 28, Art. X of State Constitution to prohibit laws or rules from compelling any person, employer, or health care provider to participate in any health care system; permit person or employer to purchase lawful health care services directly from health care provider; permit health care provider to accept direct payment from person or employer for lawful health care services; exempt persons, employers, & health care providers from penalties & fines for paying or accepting direct payment for lawful health care services; permit purchase or sale of health insurance in private health care systems; & specifies what amendment does not affect or prohibit. Effective Date: Not Specified Last Event: Filed on Monday, July 27, 2009 9:19 AM ________________ I would like to think that I could take some credit for this because I sent the following email on 10/25/2008 to my elected officials here in Florida: From: garamoni at gmail.com Subject: Free Market Medicine Date: October 25, 2008 9:42:17 PM EDT To: Charlie.Crist at myflorida.com, king.james.web at flsenate.gov, doc at votedocrenuart.com Dear Governor Crist, Senator King, and Dr. Renuart: November 4th is near, so I know you are all very busy right now. I don't expect an immediate response to this email, but I do want to hear from you by the end of this year. Given the prospect that Senator Obama, Representative Pelosi, and Senator Reid are likely to have virtually unstoppable control of the federal government next January, we should all be very concerned that statism will accalerate and engulf many areas of our lives, including the doctor-patient relationship. I am writing the email because I want each of you to keep the marketplace for medical services as free as possible from government interference. I am a 61 year-old clinical psychologist and have been practicing in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida for 17 years. I am a registered Republican with Libertarian leanings who wants minimal governmental interference in social and economic relationships. I have never been very active politically, but given what is happening in the polls, I am very afraid of an unckecked Democrat-run government and therefore I feel compelled to become politically active. So I want all three of you to know about Arizona's Proposition 101, which is on the ballot in Arizona and is discussed in George Will's 10/26/08 Op Ed Column in the Washington Post, Page B07. Here are the first three paragraphs of Will's article, "Stopping Dr. Statism": On Election Day, Arizonans can give the nation the gift of a good example. They can enact a measure that could shape the health-care debate that will arrest or accelerate the nation's slide into statism. Proposition 101, the Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act, would put the following language into Arizona's Constitution: "Because all people should have the right to make decisions about their health care, no law shall be passed that restricts a person's freedom of choice of private health care systems or private plans of any type. No law shall interfere with a person's or entity's right to pay directly for lawful medical services, nor shall any law impose a penalty or fine, of any type, for choosing to obtain or decline health care coverage or for participation in any particular health care system or plan." What do those people who oppose Proposition 101 favor? Some support legislation sponsored by the Democratic leader in the state House of Representatives. It would establish a severe single-payer system, proscribing private health insurance in the state and requiring almost everyone not on Medicare to enroll in a state health-care program. Under that program, a state commission would stipulate the menu of services and medications and could even decide which hospitals could add which technologies. This article can be found at: http://www.washington... I want each of you to support the creation of political firewalls at the state level to protect us from the crippling effects of more statism in medicine at the federal level. I think drafting a similar Proposition 101 for Florida would be a good start. (To Dr. Renuart: Hey, Doc, I am voting for you. Sponsoring and being identified with this measure would get your promising political career off to a good start.) . . . Please protect us. One thing you can do is to protect the voluntary nature of the doctor-patient relationship by allowing us to vote on a Florida equivalent of Arizona's Proposition 101 as soon as possible. Sincerely, Gregory L. Garamoni, Ph.D.

(continued from above) As the 2010 election cycle approaches, we will identify and publicly support those candidates for elected offices at the state and federal level who champion individual rights in healthcare. We hope you will be one of them. We will also unhesitatingly identify and publicly target for defeat any candidates who support legislation that violates individual rights. We just created a page on our website, “Targeted for Defeat in 2010,” with this goal in mind. We recently created a Petition to Protect Doctor-Patient Rights, which will be submitted to Congress and calls on legislators to oppose legislation that provides for any: Public plan option, Mandates that force individuals to buy insurance coverage, Mandates that force employers to provide insurance coverage, Surcharges that force some groups to pay for the healthcare of other groups, and Mandates that force doctors to participate in public plans. We are also encouraging doctors to prepare themselves to go on strike against government-run healthcare programs. We want doctors to let the country know now that, if the President signs legislation to establish a new government healthcare plan, they will refuse to participate in any such plan and will also stop participating in all other government healthcare programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and SCHIP. Our blog, Doctors on Strike, regularly posts news and opinions on healthcare reform. This week we posted the news that the House Ways and Means Committee, marking up the Health bill: Rejected 25-15 an amendment from Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) that would have eliminated the public plan option; Rejected 22-19 amendment from Rep. Charles Boustany (R-La.) that would have prevented providers from being forced to participate in the public plan; Rejected 21-18 an amendment from Rep. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) that would have required members of Congress and their dependents to enroll in the public plan option; Rejected 21-19 an amendment from Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.) that would have based payment rates on the private market, rather than on Medicare; Rejected 26-15 an amendment by Rep. Wally Herger (R-Calif.) that would have prevented comparative effectiveness research from being used to deny care based on cost. (Source: John Goodman’s Health Policy Blog) This information made it absolutely clear to our audience that those Democrats in Congress who support HR3200 are poised to inject a massive, lethal dose of statism into the brain of our healthcare system--the independent practice of medicine--a long-established, well-tested tradition in which doctors and patients exercise their right to make personal and private healthcare decisions that are informed by the professional training and experience of the doctor and tailored to the unique needs of the patient--without the forceful intrusion of government bureaucrats. We fear that this massive dose of statism will induce a wave of “seizures” in the healthcare economy — inflation, price controls, doctor shortages, waiting periods, and rationing. This is clearly the wrong medicine at the wrong time for the faltering economy, in general, and the over-regulated healthcare sector, in particular. In your deliberations on healthcare reform, we respectfully ask you to demonstrate your respect for the rights of doctors and patients by opposing any government option, mandates for individual insurance coverage, mandates for employer coverage, tax surcharges, and requirement for doctors to participate in a public option. These provisions are immoral, unconstitutional violations of our rights as doctors and patients. These provisions are also fiscally irresponsible. We urge you instead to support and vote for legislation to decrease the federal regulation of the entire healthcare industry. The burdens of federal and state control are stifling competition and innovation among insurance companies and other healthcare providers. They are a major cause of inflation in healthcare goods and services. We understand that many of you are considering running for reelection. If your vote(s) reflect fiscal responsibility and respect the rights of doctors and patients, we will openly and vigorously support your reelection. If your vote(s) are fiscally irresponsible and violate the rights and doctors and patients, we may have no choice but to support your opponent. We hope you make the right choice for freedom in America. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Respectfully, Dr. Gregory L. Garamoni Founder & Executive Director, Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine 2304 Sawgrass Village Drive Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida 904-631-3939 <a href="http://www.doctorsonstrike.com" target="_blank">www.doctorsonstrike.com garamoni at gmail.com July 25, 2009

An Open Letter to the Blue Dog Coalition Dear Honorable Leaders and Members of The Blue Dog Coalition: As a healthcare professional and the leader of a national campaign to protect the rights of doctors and patients, I urge you to vote against HR3200: America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. On July 4, 2009, I founded a new organization, Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine, to take on the mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting freedom in healthcare. We simultaneously issued a Declaration of Independence for Doctors and declared a philosophical and political war against more governmental intrusion into healthcare. Doctors on Strike is establishing a rapidly growing national audience through our internet presence at www.doctorsonstrike.com, where we supply doctors and patients with the philosophical and political ammunition to fight for their rights. Launched three weeks ago, our website has been visited by people from 756 cities in 40 countries around the world, including all 50 states in America. Our message is getting through to people interested in protecting individual rights in healthcare. We hope this communication will get our message through to each member of the Democratic Blue Dog Coalition. Doctors on Strike is based on the principles that: Doctors and patients have the same inalienable individual rights that all human beings have — the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; The purpose of government is to secure these rights, not violate them; Rights impose limitations on government; Government intrusion into healthcare violates these rights; HR3200 would violate these rights, be fiscally irresponsible, and gravely threaten the viability of the healthcare system; and Doctors, patients, and elected officials need to act — now — to preserve, protect, and promote individual rights and freedom in medicine. Our most pressing goal for 2009 is to help defeat HR3200 and other statist healthcare reform proposals now circulating in Washington. To this end, Doctors on Strike is actively encouraging doctors and patients to put intense political pressure on legislators during your deliberations on healthcare reform. We supply our national audience with the intellectual and political ammunition to do this. We provide links to the contact information on every senator and representative. You should know that we just added a special website page devoted to the 51 members of the Blue Dog Coalition, which provides the names, pictures, and contact information on each Blue Dog. We are encouraging doctors and patients to urge the Blue Dogs to reform healthcare in a fiscally responsible manner and with due respect for the right of doctors and patients.
Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead

The "Political Ammunition" of our website provides convenient ways to communicate our message to legislators. We provide links to the contact information on every senator and representative. We just added a special page devoted to the 51 members of the Blue Dog Coalition--a unique resource not found anywhere else on the web. We supply sample messages that can be copied, pasted, modified, and communicated to legislators over the phone or by email, fax, or mail. The messages vary in length from once sentence to several paragraphs to suit the preferences of a diverse group of doctors and patients. The core message is the same: We demand that Congress and the Administration respect the right of doctors and patients to make private healthcare decisions without any governmental interference. I invite you to go to our "Political Ammunition" page see for yourself how easy we have made it for voters to tell Congress how important it is to protect freedom in healthcare. If you have not yet made your views known to your senators and representative, why not do this now? See just how easy it is and then let others know too. Doctors on Strike just created a "Petition to Protect Doctor-Patient Rights," which will be submitted to Congress and calls on them to oppose and vote against legislation that provides for any public plan option, mandates that force individuals to buy insurance coverage, mandates that force employers to provide insurance coverage, tax surcharges that force some to pay for the healthcare of others, and mandates that force doctors to participate in public plans (http://www.doctorsonstrike.com/petitiontoprotectd... We are also calling on doctors to prepare themselves to go on strike against any more government-run healthcare programs. We want doctors to let the country know now that if the President signs any legislation that establishes another government healthcare plan, doctors will refuse to participate in any such plan, and will stop participating in all other government healthcare programs, including, but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE. What sets Doctors on Strike apart from fine nonpartisan organizations is that we are an activist organization that can and will "take the gloves off" to take on public officials without having to worry about our tax-exempt status being revoked. (Visit our "Homepage" and you will see an animated banner of the Blue Dogs that makes this point.) This allows us the freedom to publish pointedly partisan pieces that can't found elsewhere. As the 2010 election cycle approaches, we will work openly to support those candidates for elected offices who champion individual rights in healthcare. We will also publicly target for defeat any candidates who support statist public policies that infringe on liberty in healthcare. We just created a page on our website, “Targeted for Defeat in 2010,” with this goal in mind. Our blog, "Doctors on Strike," regularly posts news, opinions, and humor concerning healthcare reform. I am pleased that since we launched our website on July 4th, we have been visited by people from 882 cities in 42 countries around the world, including all 50 states in America. Our message is getting to people interested in protecting individual rights in healthcare. Of course, we have to do a lot more work to win the near-term battle in Congress and the long-term war against statism in healthcare. This is a war--one we cannot afford to loose. I supply some intellectual and political ammunition. Pick some up and fire off some messages to Congress and the media. And please sign our petition and spread the word about our organization's message. Dr. Gregory L. Garamoni Founder & Executive Director, Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida 904-631-3939 www.doctorsonstrike.com garamoni at gmail.com

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead

As a new member of the 912 Project, I know we all have a shared interest in protecting the rights of doctors and patients to make personal, private, and independent healthcare decisions. On July 4, 2009, I founded Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine (<a href="http://www.doctorsonstrike.com)" target="_blank">www.doctorsonstrike.com) to take on the mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting freedom in healthcare in the America. (continued) Inspired by The Declaration of Independence, Doctors on Strike issued the Declaration of Independence for Doctors to recognize: --That doctors and patients have the same inalienable individual rights that all human beings have — the right to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness; --That the purpose of government is to secure individual rights, not violate them; --That individual rights impose limitations on government; --That statism in healthcare violates individual rights; --That the statist healthcare reforms coming out of Washington would violate individual rights; and --That doctors, patients, and elected officials need to act — now — to protect individual rights and freedom in medicine. Our long-term educational objective is to supply doctors and healthcare providers with the intellectual ammunition required to win the “philosophical war” against statism in medicine. The "Intellectual Ammunition" page of our website (<a href="http://www.doctorsonstrike.com)" target="_blank">www.doctorsonstrike.com) provides a principled, vigorous defense of freedom in medicine based a philosophy of rational self-interest, individualism, and laissez faire capitalism. Our most pressing goal for 2009 is to help defeat the statist healthcare reform proposals presently circulating through Washington. To this end, Doctors on Strike is actively encouraging doctors and patients to put intense political pressure on legislators during their deliberations on healthcare reform. And we provide the political ammunition to do this.
