Keyword is "senseless." In the fourth paragraph of his Rose Garden speech on 9/12, Obama characterizes the murder of our ambassador and three other Americans as a "type of senseless violence." John Wilkes Booth's assassination of President Lincoln was not "senseless violence," was it? Lee Harvey Oswald's assassination of President Kennedy was not "senseless violence," was it? Look up the word, "mindless" and you will find the definition, "without discernible meaning or purpose" along with these synonyms: pointless, futile, useless, needless, unavailing, in vain, purposeless, meaningless, unprofitable; absurd, foolish, insane, stupid, idiotic, ridiculous, ludicrous, mindless, illogical. People stampeding Best Buy on Black Friday is "mindless violence." The premeditated and sustained and coordinated attack on the Libyan Consulate and the deliberate murder of these Americans by members of an Al Qaeda-linked group on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 was ANYTHING BUT "senseless violence"! It was carried out by terrorists whose act of terrorism had a point, purpose, meaning, etc. This was not the result of a mindless mob mentality that got out of control because religious sensitivities were offended by a YouTube video clip, which was the deceptive narrative of the Obama Administration from day one. The government has an inherent interest in individuals having healthy bodies, he argues, because individuals have the public use and public purpose of yielding more tax revenues -- individuals who are healthy are better at being their brother's keeper and their sister's keeper. Under the "takings clause," the Court will rule that that the government can legitimately claim ownership of people, their bodies, and, of course, their health. Justice Sotomayor, in her unfathomable, and now constitutionally unpardonable, Latina-feminist wisdom, will write a "one sentence" opinion for the majority: "Our decision goes without saying." I like the expressions used here: "Constitutionalists" and "Pro-Constitution." I think they capture what should be the common denominator of this revolution much better than other expressions being used. Americans on Saturday in fact rallied around the Constitution to show Washington politicians and the rest of the country that we care about our liberty, our economic security, our national security, our system of justice -- and, yes, our constitution! Americans are not stupid. We have been connecting the dots and see an emerging pattern of liberal fascism in this country (and, also, I dare say here, "conservative fascism" in the form of "me-too" welfare statism and corrupt corporate cronyism). As the trio of bombastic bombardiers -- Obama, Pelosi, and Reid -- continue dropping wave after wave of incendiary bombs of liberal fascism in the finance, transportation, energy, and health care sectors of the economy, we find ourselves encircled by the red flames of a Dresden-like attack on our unalienable rights to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. Americans are finally recognizing that these bombastic bombardiers and their sycophants in the left-leaning media are hell-bent on imposing their unjust system of "social justice" on America with reckless disregard of the adverse consequences for our liberty, economic security, national security, and system of justice. And, like a tag team of used car salesmen, these liberal leaders are creating a false sense of urgency so they can sell us on their fascist programs before any effective sales resistance can be mounted by Conservatives, Libertarians, Independents, Moderates, and -- yes -- Constitutionalists. Americans’ confidence in the Administration's ability to protect our national security has been further undermined by Obama’s apology tour, Holder’s siege on the CIA, and the Orwellian language of denial, “Overseas Contingency Operation.” But Americans on Saturday openly pushed back against this loss of national security. Americans see the destruction of the American Dream as this country is being molded to conform to the Marxist maxim, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." The top 50% of wage earners pay over 97% of federal income taxes, and -- to make matters worse -- if this country's collectivist crew of cronies in Congress have their way, the unfairness of this progressive taxation will only get worse as these liberals let Bush's tax cuts expire, impose a surtax on the wealthy, and force business owners to pay for their employees’ health insurance. But Americans on Saturday openly pushed back against the injustice of this “social justice.” Yes, Americans are red hot -- yes, some of us are mad as hell -- and, yes, we are refusing to be herded together and blindly rushed to take a leftist-led, lemming-like leap into the sordid sea of statism. Proposition 101, the Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act, would put the following language into Arizona's Constitution: "Because all people should have the right to make decisions about their health care, no law shall be passed that restricts a person's freedom of choice of private health care systems or private plans of any type. No law shall interfere with a person's or entity's right to pay directly for lawful medical services, nor shall any law impose a penalty or fine, of any type, for choosing to obtain or decline health care coverage or for participation in any particular health care system or plan." What do those people who oppose Proposition 101 favor? Some support legislation sponsored by the Democratic leader in the state House of Representatives. It would establish a severe single-payer system, proscribing private health insurance in the state and requiring almost everyone not on Medicare to enroll in a state health-care program. Under that program, a state commission would stipulate the menu of services and medications and could even decide which hospitals could add which technologies. The "Political Ammunition" of our website provides convenient ways to communicate our message to legislators. We provide links to the contact information on every senator and representative. We just added a special page devoted to the 51 members of the Blue Dog Coalition--a unique resource not found anywhere else on the web. We supply sample messages that can be copied, pasted, modified, and communicated to legislators over the phone or by email, fax, or mail. The messages vary in length from once sentence to several paragraphs to suit the preferences of a diverse group of doctors and patients. The core message is the same: We demand that Congress and the Administration respect the right of doctors and patients to make private healthcare decisions without any governmental interference. I invite you to go to our "Political Ammunition" page see for yourself how easy we have made it for voters to tell Congress how important it is to protect freedom in healthcare. If you have not yet made your views known to your senators and representative, why not do this now? See just how easy it is and then let others know too. Doctors on Strike just created a "Petition to Protect Doctor-Patient Rights," which will be submitted to Congress and calls on them to oppose and vote against legislation that provides for any public plan option, mandates that force individuals to buy insurance coverage, mandates that force employers to provide insurance coverage, tax surcharges that force some to pay for the healthcare of others, and mandates that force doctors to participate in public plans (http://www.doctorsonstrike.com/petitiontoprotectd... We are also calling on doctors to prepare themselves to go on strike against any more government-run healthcare programs. We want doctors to let the country know now that if the President signs any legislation that establishes another government healthcare plan, doctors will refuse to participate in any such plan, and will stop participating in all other government healthcare programs, including, but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE. What sets Doctors on Strike apart from fine nonpartisan organizations is that we are an activist organization that can and will "take the gloves off" to take on public officials without having to worry about our tax-exempt status being revoked. As the 2010 election cycle approaches, we will work openly to support those candidates for elected offices who champion individual rights in healthcare. As a new member of the 912 Project, I know we all have a shared interest in protecting the rights of doctors and patients to make personal, private, and independent healthcare decisions. On July 4, 2009, I founded Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine (www.doctorsonstrike.com) to take on the mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting freedom in healthcare in the America. (continued) Inspired by The Declaration of Independence, Doctors on Strike issued the Declaration of Independence for Doctors to recognize: --That doctors and patients have the same inalienable individual rights that all human beings have — the right to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness; --That the purpose of government is to secure individual rights, not violate them; --That individual rights impose limitations on government; --That statism in healthcare violates individual rights; --That the statist healthcare reforms coming out of Washington would violate individual rights; and --That doctors, patients, and elected officials need to act — now — to protect individual rights and freedom in medicine.
