Really? He chose to cross the double lines? I did not realize you were there with him to see it all. How do you know he "did" anything? Nothing has been reported or confirmed that he was in-fact under any influence! Why can't anyone realize this!? Amazes me.

I hope the person who wrote this headline can sleep well tonight knowing he did something right in the same line as this awful accident, he's created heartache for someone's family and friends. And to sit here and read these comments and see them continue makes me sick. I get that yes, there are many people out there who should not be on the road and we jump for justice to be done when we see this. In this case though, I beg you to listen to the friends of Joe and understand that despite this, he is a wonderful man and I'm sure is not taking this as nothing. He gets worried if someone comments for a moment about something he did wrong or acts to be angry with him. He only wishes to please people in anyway he can. He works hard and loves what he does. We will support Joe through this tragedy and continue to love him. Please, I understand your support to put those who do wrong in their place but do it somewhere else were it's deserved and that's not here.

I've replied to a few areas on here over the past few hours but I just also have to add that although this does not change what happened, that Joe is a wonderful man with a great family and heart. Yet the things I read here paint him to be this druggie who lives for driving a large truck and out to kill. Like stated before, Joe was on his way to one of his 9 - 5 jobs to support his family. He wasn't driving to just anywhere he pleased. This doesn't take away from the tragedy and again, my heart and prayers go out to the family of the woman lost. I can not sit back however, and watch Joe's good name be thrown around. I used to look to Komo for facts unlike many other stations and now find this appalling that they would headline something not even proved true. Great way to get readers and rial up the people..... We get that. We understand that what happened was horrible. But you're going to tell me you've never been exhausted with a baby in the house and haven't driven to work tired to support your family in these hard times? No, we do not accept that it makes it right but we also do not accept people being heartless to all parties involved.

I wish you a had done some research before you put this information out there! If you check the court records properly, you would see it's simply being served by a credit agency which happens more often then not in this economy. It's people like you and the rest of this darn media who is putting this to shame. Absolute shame! I hope all you people think twice before saying such things when you have no idea what the whole story is. Shame on you all!

bobjr94, I find it funny you just 5 hours ago spoke about people being served for collections incorrectly. And I quote directly "I totally agree, we get automated collection calls for my mother in law, guy who owned the house 6 years ago and people I have never heard of. Then you call back to tell them to stop calling, they say you are covering for these people, they will be sued and they are sending people to your house with court papers and they will see you in court" (<a href="http://www.komonews.com/news/consumer/55398642.ht..." target="_blank">http://www.komonews.com/news/consumer/55398642.ht...

So it sounds to me as if you disagree with these kind of practices that yet you used against someone. Disappointing.

I also know Joe and know that this not something he did intentionally. He did not wake up one morning and think of killing someone. Yes, I am so sorry for the loss of this woman, deeply I am. I know Joe to be the type of person who will stop at nothing to make this as right as he can. I know you can not bring someone back, but I know he will try to heal. But before you accuse someone of being a "drug addict" and scum, look inside yourselves. Have you ever hated someone or been so angry you've thought ill of them? You've murdered in your heart. You're no better then this situation. End of story. You can slander all you want but until you are placed in both situations, I would suggest shutting your mouths. I am not saying what happened was good or correct, but really I hope you all think twice.

And as for Komo. Nice that you make a headline saying it was due to drugs but in the article it's only suspicion. Great tactic to bring in the readers. You have lost a viewer. I thought you were better then this.

If I were the parent of that boy, I would not want people rushing over to look or sit there while thousands watched my son die in my arms because it was announced over the loud speaker. My cries would be echoed across the Tacoma Dome for all to hear. Think about it. I don't know the details of how the medics got there or not, but I was there that evening. It is loud in that building and they don't have medics waiting at every stairwell so I can understand the time it may have took to get there, but I can not judge the job they performed. All this said, I don't think it was right for the boy to die, no, but it was a freak accident. A piece coming off from inside the truck, nearly into the exo skeleton, and to jog loose and then fly into a crowd 30ft up in the air and strike a young boy was a one and million chance no one saw coming. It doesn't take away the grief or heartache however. I do hope Monster Jam does give a little back to this family and I do hope they find relief soon.

I have to agree that yes, Monster Jam should have done something sooner then they did to speak to the family of the lost child. However, currently they are doing an investigation of the crew and suspended the driver and truck and they have sent out their empathy to the family. Plus, Ticketmaster is giving refunds. Personally, I believe they are doing the right thing currently, although it should have been announced sooner than a day later. I agree that stopping the show that evening would have cause more chaos and trouble.

I highly agree! I would like to help this family too. They deserve some comfort even though it will never bring their son back sadly. But something at least.

Yes, before the accident there were two other fights that had broke out over stupid things. One directly behind us started over an accidental split drink. It was just petty. But the main story is this poor boy killed over this. What a sad story.
