Their first clue should have been Gerry offering to present himself for questioning. Gerry would not have done this unless he knew that he would walk. It was probably Gerry himself who suggested an extension to give time for the mural to be finished as well as time to organise the rapturous hooley that will inevitably come on his release. Meanwhile Marty is sowing seeds of 'dark forces' and 'political policing' to make sure that the PSNI think twice before arresting any more republicans without stone cold solid evidence. Sinn Fein are part of the peace process, they have a democratic mandate and therefore every right to be in power if people vote for them but they are also an intelligent, clever and slick PR machine and they will have every possible outcome covered. Gerry will be a hero, the PSNI will once again look inept, Unionism will remain frustrated that Gerry is still on the loose and Sinn Fein will wrap it up at the polling stations. For example, dogs by nature, are pack animals yet so many people here leave them alone all day on their own then shout abuse at them for barking or crying. It's not just physical abuse that is the problem but emotional abuse as well. Then there the owners who are on the opposite end of that scale. Under exercising their dogs and overfeeding them on food meant for humans that make their dogs obese and unhealthy. Seeing these dogs barely able to waddle on a walk is also abusive and quite distressing to watch. Usually their owners are also waddley obese people. Dogs are not humans. They have their own needs regarding their physical and emotional welfare and far too many dog owners never take the time to research those specific needs.
