I don't like accusing people of that. They might well have seen the movie and they might really have despised it. The sad truth is that the different people are gonna like different things for different reasons. Belittling the other side unless they're being assholes just doesn't really sound like it's gonna accomplish anything.

I haven't seen anything but the final 13 minutes, so I'm reserving judgement of the film, just don't use the"They probably haven't seen it" card. It's really annoying and patronizing if they actually HAVE seen it and didn't enjoy it

It still reminds me of episode 2 of the show. Where they blast NMM and turn her good again instantly. I just think the elements make people see what they've done with clarity and open their eyes to how blinded they've been. If there was one thing I took away from a lot of that last 13 minutes it's that Sunset has some real bad anger issues. Maybe the elements just made her see through the anger and the hatred, just like it did with NMM. That on top of being rendered powerless surrounded by the people she's hurt there's not really much she could do.

Yeah, it's still clunky as hell and a flaw, but it didn't strike me as that off.

As long as someone gets personal enjoyment out of something then I don't see the why you have to rag on them for it.

Maybe people liked it as a guilty pleasure. Maybe people thought it was so bad it's good. Maybe people went in with low as hell expectations. There are a thousand different reasons for why a person might watch and enjoy a film, and it's kinda mean to get annoyed by it.

I've only seen the final 13 minutes of the film, and Sunset Shimmer's redemption felt about as abrupt as Nightmare Moon's did once I stopped to think about it. It depends on whether you believe in the idea of the space miasma I guess (and I don't.)

Wait, maybe she could've used them to surprise the Crystal Empire and overun the castle. (unless I'm wrong the gateway to the human world is in the Crystal empire, right? I haven't seen the film, just the last 10 minutes) THEN she could use her magic to turn the empire to her side like she did the students. Then she could use their force to conquer Equestria.

Ugggggh. That's like the only spoiler I've hated so far.

I hate when Pinkie has 4th Wall powers or awareness. It really bothers me. Admittedly it's the fandom that's made me come to hate this aspect of pinkie since it's abused and I didn't find it funny to begin with, but jeeeez

Sunset seems more competent though. Doesn't she beat Twilight in pony form by teleporting the same way Twi did to get past NMM at some point? Is that near the beginning.

I dunno, I was getting the impression that she's better at getting shit done than Trixie

So how good was Sunset Shimmer as a villain? in terms of competence and demeanor and enjoyability to be found in her jackassery?

Note, I'm the kind of guy who finds Sombra and Diamond Tiara awesome and effective
