Sammy is assured of his place so he can go out and swing is bat at will, sometimes it pays off sometimes it doesnot. The other players are playong for there place, hence they have to play more cautiously and usually they get out cheaply. Sammy will not win a test match playing like that, it will surely boost if average but you want a captain who can win matches not one who drop catches, cant bowl out a team and cant bat for an extended period of time. You have to lead by example, test cricket is all about occupying the crease. I can't see where WI is improving because of young players. I have no problem Sammy, but he is not a test cricketer. Every successful team in the world have a captain for each formats, except India and that's going to change. Spinners have been the most successful bowlers in the WI over the past years, so lets see how WI cope with the spinners.
